JamieD 18,948
He looked absolutely stunned on the podium. One of the podium girls was lovely, who can blame him?
caseyjones 3,009
One of the podium girls was lovely, who can blame him? That too. Team Sky cocked it up. Cataldo was put to the front at the finish in order to put him in pink, without taking the finishing positions from stage 1 into account. caseyjones 3,009
Dave Brailsford on Wiggins and Froome: "It is crucial that there is clarity of purpose, and for that reason, we will go to the Tour with one leader. Our plan, as it has been since January, is to have Froome lead the Tour de France team."

JamieD 18,948
Great to see Hesjedal attacking so early. The Italians will like that. A champion who wants to entertain, rather than skulking in the middle of the pack.
caseyjones 3,009
Oh, thanks for spoiling the fun, Dave. That's not to say that Wiggins will heed team orders. A grudge match would some extra spice to what promises to be a cracker.
caseyjones 3,009
John Degenkolb takes stage 5 after yet another crash near the finish. Paolini hangs on to pink.
caseyjones 3,009
Stage 6: Last chance for the sprinters in this year's Giro, so any breakaway will be pulled back before the finish. Difficult to see anyone having the power or guile to overcome Mark Cavendish.

JamieD 18,948
Nibali moves into second overall, Hesjedal third. Wiggins drops out of the top 10 and needs a blinding TT ride tomorrow.

Kopter 310
Bloody hell, just watching the highlights programme on Sky now. Heart is in my mouth with those descents knowing there's oil on the road.

caseyjones 3,009
Wiggins is nowhere near peak fitness for this Giro. The question is whether that was by design or not. He's certainly giving Sky, and Froome, a headache for TdF.

caseyjones 3,009
Is Uran going for the stage win/overall lead on his own, or is he trying to kill Astana and make them vulnerable to an attack by Wiggins? I still don't think that Wiggins has the legs for this Giro. Duncan
