Lest We Forget

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

When you go home, tell them of us and say,

For their tomorrow, we gave our today.

On Saturday, we will remember them, whilst others pretend.

However, some will openly refuse to acknowledge, their personal sacrifice.

To them, I say, scum of the earth is a compliment;

Nazi's then, Nazi's now, Nazi's forever.

Abuse then, abuse now, abuse forever.

You know who you are and we are coming to get you!

We will honour our fallen, shame on you!

My late Dad was with the Royal Engineers in Normandy in 1944.

He survived WWII.

For All Our Heroes That Paid The Ultimate Sacrifice - We Will Remember Them.

Thanks for posting QJ - very moving videos.

Cheers.

Historically the sequence of events are an abomination.

And yet these people enjoy the freedom secured by our forefathers.

They are celebrated, by the terrorist supporters in the East end.

Since we are on this topic,i have an unbeleivable piece of history,my wifes uncle was killed in ww1 in Ypres,and we have his diary,with a bullet hole straight through the middle of it,of when he met his untimely death.It has all his writings for every day in the trenches and beyond.So harrowing but true for life for what they poor souls had to endure,through no fault of their own,in one page he talks about how he wished the trenches that was full of water,could have been beer?Still in good condition,and we have his death penny as well.My son is going over to the Menin Gate etc. with his school next year to the site where he is buried.

To QJ:

can't seem.to quote for whatever reason.

To be in those battles must be the most harrowing of last century.

My childhood best friend is on Ibrox park next weekend and im taking his missus along without him knowing to sit in the front row of bf4 as a surprise :D

Lest we forget those who sacrificed their life's for our freedom.

my uncle died on hms traveler, my dad (god rest him) fought with montgomery in africa, other uncles were pows in italy , others were on RN russian murmansk convoys so that we could all be free from nazi opression

And lo and behold you bigoted individuals who they have fought for are still in the seventeenth century , time to move into the twenty first century.

Say as many taigs as you like but think before you say it.

November 11 is a rememberence day for all.

rememberence sunday knows no bigotry

I wrote some of his memoirs on this site but got little if no responce to it,i suppose it means little to a new generation,but if you want to pm me,it really is an unbelievable piece of history,it has just lay there for years,it is now the biggest talking point in my sons history class and beyond,you really have got to see it to believe it,all his writings in pencil,and so upbeat,you can feel the fear in his writings,and in one page he recalls how he had to leave his best friend when he got caught in the mudslide and suffocated,when the trenches subsided,fckn hell on earth for men that were in the prime of their life.
