The stance Al, Bluepeter and a few others have adopted is Ally good everything else bad,is admirable but imo totally misguided, a simple question to them requiring a simple answer would be " what qualities (football wise) has McCoist shown to you, to make you back him so blindly even though the football of late has been absolutely dire, even as a stand in during the cup ties during Walters last season, there was not a glimmer that a manager in waiting was born.Say come November next season we have another raft of dud signings playing the same shite football and Ibrox is half empty, that's another season fucked when we should be well into our brave new dawn. Fantastic man, awful manager, if you have seen any outstanding (on the park) managerial traits feel free to enlighten the frustrated ones.

The Game we stopped Celtic winning the lg at Ibrox was a very good performance.

The SPL was a two horse race, one horse without us now. Surely even you can see the differences between the situations?

So we've never finished outside the top two in the spl? Our squad had lost our two best players yet the manager was good enough to secure something that was far from guaranteed in the circumstances.

I don't buy into more money guarantees success. I believe you earn it.

Dear Ally,

We would like to thank you for securing the club and for delivering the SFL3 Championship. It is extremely pleasing to have taken the first step forward on our Journey back to the top.

It is with respect for your background with this club that we should lay down some clear targets for you to achieve next season if you are to remain as Manager going forward.

Clearly we must see an improvement in the style of play next year and the club expects to see something like the style of play shown by Barcalona, Swansea and of course our neighbours across the city, Celtic.

The club expect you to deliver the style of play mainly with the youth players you already have at our disposal. We do not wish to hinder your team building so you may sign any youth (under 18) that you want and we will provide some board and lodgings, and if we can get a training grant a small wage for these players. The club must take great care of future profits and as the youth are cheap that is the model we prefer.

We know that as a coach you did not get a full pre-season last year but we are fully prepared to fund a trip to the east coast, (I have heard Burntisland is lovely) and after the pre-season you and your coaching staff should have these players zinging passes around with slick one-twos and fully capable of destroying teams in SFL2 next season.

Additionally, we though we should make our targets clearly measurable so we believe that delivering the league title should be possible without any defeats, and in fact to even draw in this league would reflect badly on you, your staff and the whole infrastructure of the club. Target 1 is "No points Dropped".

As you will have coached the team through a full pre-season and as we have some ex-SPL players on our books we also feel that you should win the majority of the cup games as well. There was some debate at board level as to wether we should expect you to win all the cups but we do understand that our friends across the city, may prove stiff opposition, and so we will accept not winning the Scottish Cup (although we do expect a final appearence) as long as that final is against our friend we could tolerate a loss, this year. (Next year we expect a clean sweep of every competition we enter).

I must also reitterate that season ticket sales are down to the style of play so any dip in ticket sales can only reflect badly on you and your coaching staff so please ensure all our fans, get all they want, all of the time - this is imperative to my future wealth.

As you can see the club are fully behind you and please let me know of any further resources you may require and providing they are at zero cost or lower we shall endeavour to help. (Looking at the season before we took over we did like the Aluko Model of players paying to play for us).

Please also not that come the January transfer window any player that attracts financial interest from any other team is ligly to be sold so please ensure you have depth of new talent coming through.

Yours

Charles Green

Your behaving obsessively bud, the manager is not up to it and it's time up.

Ally gooooood.

I put my pants on.

:craphead:

Go on then Al tell me what McCoists qualities as a manager are please, I'm watching the same guff as you, one up front, players out of position, pedestrian plodding football, all back at corners clearing the ball right to the opponents to start another move on our goal, all against third division teams ffs.

you missed out big aimless high punted balls to a lone striker surrounded by big fat postmen and polish bog cleaners. Only for our striker to flick it it on to himself.

Ally was credited with doing most of the cup selections during Walers second tenure - and did we not win something like 6 cups in that time?

Also bad managers do not start a season with 6 players, cobble together a squad and still romp the league - even SFL3.

Also bad managers could not have held a club together the way Ally has.

It is an opinion, but in my opinion Ally has done more than enough to see what happens if he gets another season or two!

So you seriously think Motherwell had a squad anywhere near ours?

I didn't say that, but do go on...

That just about sums it up mate, you know yourself Allys not up to the job, if you are going to defend him at least come back with something half sensible to argue his corner.

I'm only trying to live up to your expectations. You could try reading any Ally Oot thread since last August, there's plenty of valid points that some choose to ignore repeatedly.

The fact you are still going on about results just proves that you only read what you want to suit your chip on the shoulder agenda.....it's quite sad that a man of your age is so immature and linear in his thinking!

However, il bite.....the targets he should be setting himself and the team are; to develop a progressive philosophy that involves retaining possession and pressing high and quick, improve the tempo and approach to games, develop the attitude and fitness of players, to play with more freedom and attacking intent, if he intends to stick with 4-2-3-1 then get players in suited to that system, work on set pieces, work with the defence, stop making excuses, blood as many youngsters as possible at this level and wear a suit (insert winking smiley guy)....

In terms of result driven targets (assuming we are in SFL2).... Win promotion (winning every game is neither essential or a concern assuming we are moving in the right direction and trying to improve), put in a better challenge in the cups (even if we get knocked out by an SPL team fair enough but we go out with a fight), win the ramsdens cup to add to our trophy room.....

yawn

Whats the plenty valid points? McCoist does not have it as a manager, simple really, if there are plenty of valid points please share them with us who are less than convinced .

Dear Charles

Thanks for your letter .... < Insert something light hearted here >

Yours

Ally McCoist

I was going to try to < Insert something light hearted here > myself but I know you guys are a tough crowd! Maybe BP9 could start another thread? :)

We don't do light hearted threads ........

..... seemingly - this is a humour free Zone!

Although It would have been interesting to see if you could have supplied some humour in your reply as I failed in the OP :pipe:

Because you either don't know or there are none.

how many times have you been over it, nothing is valid in your opinion and never will be, are you wanting it regurgitated in order for you to just say it's not valid? It's been discussed to death and tbf why should anyone explain even more so reasons for keeping ally on, dog with a bone comes to mind.

Good thread. You forgot to mention the bit about many Rangers fans threats about non renewal of season tickets should the man that steered us through administration and liquidation still be in chatlrge of our club.

Sorry - I'll have a wee word with myself and try to improve - if I am given time :pipe:
