eejay the dj 31,964
Cuellar. I personally thought Bougherra was overrated. wish we could find another overrated defender we could win 3 top leagues in a row with while competing reasonably well in Europe . 10pshortof17pound 2,532
I'm leaving Daid Weir out of this. Of those named, who do you think was the best? You leave David Weir out - why bother with these polls - those you name couldn't lace Ronnie MacKinnon's boots. BigAmo'sThighs 848
I don't get the Papac love that some fans have. He was decent player for us, served us well, gave his all and was the textbook steady Eddie but he brought very little to the team, he wasn't any better than michael ball of Oliver Bernard ...... Hahaha, Christ, no idea why those two popped into my head. No better than Stevie smith would be a better analogy. Seriously though - decent lad, decent left back, but nowhere near the standard Carlos Cuellar in that one season, he wasn't even the best left back we've had, Robertson, Numan, Gio for a spell, even Wallace are all better. eejay the dj 31,964
David Robertson is without a shadow of doubt our best left back to have played since early 90s .Very rarely did anyone go past him .Not perfect but certainly miles better than Papac
PaulReid 184
Papac had one or two games at cb One against st johnston I mind he was class.Might have been been captain that day. Cup game maybe. Can't member Solid left back and made one mistake in a few years. 6 was it?
Columbo 588
I'd probably plump for Bougherra as he did it over 3 seasons and contributed to us having a very successful period. That's taking nothing away from Cuellar and the huge role he played in taking us to Manchester mind
coatbrigpirate 23
Loved Boogie and cuellar but went for papac underated and a great servant. Mind just when he signed he arrived on match day outside the front doors in a hackney just before kick off lol
King Jela 20,668
King Carlos was miles ahead of Bougherra and Papac, it isn't even close.
King Jela 20,668
We won league with Bougie 3 times on the trot .We never won the league under Carlos .That's enough for me .Didn't ever think Papac was anything more than reliable but liked him all the same .Has to be MadjidWe were going for 4 trophies and got fucked about in the league with Cuellar ffs. calio 688
IMOBest `backs to the wall` defender was Cuellar in his sort time with us, Bougie was easily a more cultured footballer though and often offered something different going forward when we were in need of a lift.Sasa had a different role to the others, but overall defended the LB position consistently well. All of them have done us proud, Sasa P is my favourite of the 3 though. simplythebestest 2,148
Is it true that Sassy Papac drove an old banger the whole time he was here?
eejay the dj 31,964
Having just watched Madjid in the World Cup .He just confirmed why he was the best defender we've had in last 6 years .Easy .Fantastic performance Bougie .Shame you were on losing side
graeme_4 35,266
Can't believe Papac has more votes than Bougherra. He was outstanding in his time with us - just goes to show the manner in which you leave can impact on your legacy.
