ayesteady 78
A lot of chairmen of former SFL clubs have as we knew all along been taken for mugs.If the damages bid is successful all 40 clubs will be liable as I'm certain the cabal will make sure of it. soulboy 2,520
All the old sfl clubs knew about this case before they decided to join this new league, they should have inserted a clause to say they wouldn't be liable if the spl lost the case. The Educator 1,572
Was the eventuality of this arising not one of the things that caused a delay in the ratification of the takeover of the SFL by the SPL? If this does go to the courts for a judgement it could certainly help lift the lid on the true state of the finances of Scottish football and the fine details of the contracts that have been signed regarding TV and Internet broadcasting revenue. It should be noted that to date none of the companies involved in these deals have had enough faith in them to become the official league sponsor. As was mentioned in a previous post there is still the 1m bill for the takeover of the SFL by the SPL and its subsequent rebranding to pay for. This makes me wonder if they have actually settled their legal bill for the LNSI into our club. A bill they tried to get us to pay for them. So what we have here is a possibility that they have outstanding debts of £3,350,000 at a time when the league has no sponsorship. It would be interesting to know if any of the companies who were involved with the broadcasting/streaming contracts were foolish enough to pay money up front on these deals. Unless there is a money stream coming in that we don't know about the finances look pretty poor.
