Smile 26,622
He broke through in division 3, start of last season he was dropped and Peralta was given his place until early november, ally finally seen peralta sucked at right mid so brought Aird in and he shone again for the rest of the seasonStart of this season and Aird is dropped again, only this time to accomodate a fucking abysmal formation so Ally can keep his pals in the starting line up againI really do hope this was a one off for Aird and he's back in the line up for this weekend, the wee man might be a helluva rough about the edges, but he puts in a shift more than black and law combined, never afraid to try try and try again, always wants the ball and willing to track back all the timeAird was invisible the last two games and was deservedly dropped, did well when he came on last night though will be a good impact sub like Templeton.Didn't realise this was such an old topic. Balgreen Bear 15
What has Aird done in all the years he has been here to improve himself as a player? His crossing is woeful, he has no skill, he can't hit a dead ball, he has next to awareness, he is technically very very poor. Kids growing up these days are normally quite sound on the ball because they spend so much time playing with them but Aird looks at times as if he has never seen a ball before. That hit and run tactic he uses to beat a man is embarrassing, i don't think we have seen it work yet. Have our coaches asked him to work on things, has he asked to stay behind to work on his dead ball ability? There is no evidence of either. Smile 26,622
Yet after that tirade, young Fraser is still better than any other option for that position.I would have Gallagher infront of him everyday of the week.

Smile 26,622
deservedly dropped for an unfit out of position player?really? He was invisible, what good does it do the lad who was getting a bit of stick at the games to keep playing him when he's doing nothing.Aird wont make it at Rangers he fails against any player who can run as fast as him as he doesn't have the tricks to beat a man, reminds me of Gregg wylde. Balgreen Bear 15
Yet after that tirade, young Fraser is still better than any other option for that position. In your opinion maybe but then that just says all we need to know about the managers inability to build a squad. Some of our options are horrendously mediocre.

Moody Blue 9,476
I don't think he's anywhere near good enough for us but he's nowhere near the worst at the club.

BROOMIERD 308
Changed my mind on Aird I think he has improved and hopefully that will continue, What he lacks in ability he makes up for with his effort and always makes himself available even when things are not coming off for him. There are other players in the team who make a mistake then go missing for half an hour. He may not be suited to playing on artificial pitches as he was dropped after two poor performances on astro turf..
AlBear. 8,499
After Frasers last 2-3 performances dropping him was not a crazy decision.
Ivybank 4,632
Watch arid when he starts a game,he will try to take the full back on ,if he doesn't beat him he won't take him on againBecause he knows he hasn't got the beating of him, also has aird ever beat a man got to the bye line and put a good ball in?No never
folkestoneger 8,263
The youngster tries hard but he is like a headless chicken. If someone spent 3-4 hours a day teaching him to take a corner or hit a decent cross he could improve
Jimfanciesthedude 24,778
so instead of playing him on a wide pitch against a hibs team that are lowish on confidence and using a new system, we instead play defensive mid wide right fucking hell

However, tbf, when we seen them set up at 532 we should have changed after 15 min and capitalised on the wings. We are all fuming but Aird being dropped is not a significant complaint for last night, imo. Dietspam 733
Problem with Aird and Templeton is they cut inside too much. The don't hit the byline and cross it in for the strikers.
