nachothelegend 1,932
Unless there is a massive cash injection into players between now and the start of next season, no manager is going to get us to be champions of the SPFL.Ha ha HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAMassive cash injection in Scottish Fitbaw.FFS no more cash on players, put some in to Youth and Coaching and stop overpaying underachieving players. Jelavic191 4,474
This is four years worth of shite and seemingly no change happening not fans being fickle. Anywhere else with no boardroom shit and McCoist would have been sacked after that first season. No money to spend!? He spunked nearly £1 million on Templeton and by the end of this season will have spent nearly £20 million in wages since the Third Division alone. He has been in charge over some of the worst results in our history; Annan, Stirling, Albion Rovers etc.A fair number of his wins last season and the season before seemed to be because the part-time teams we were playing became tired. I'm fed up of his excuses of "missed chances" or "I'll have a word with him" or "I don't know what happened". He treats us like mugs.
Bluenose1980 107
Fair enough, but that is not going to win the league next season, is it?Why not that's what every team in that league are doing. Even Celtic aren't splashing out big money on players so why won't it work for us?

Would that be acceptable?Celtic are splashing out more money than the whole SPFL put together. How many home produced youngsters do Celtic play on a weekly basis? BigAmo'sThighs 848
It's got fuck all to do with winning every game. His record is decent, but I think it should be discounted playing against players who train twice a week. The problem is we don't play football, under smith players had a system, a plan A, a plan B and a plan C, they were drilled, hard to beat, and yet we still managed to knock the ball about at times Under this mob we have nothing, no guile, no system, no shape, no desire. It's painful.

We do need players of a higher standard to come in, certainly through the spine of the team and it will cost money.

Our Manager hasn't a Clue at coaching that much is sure he has no discipline see karaoke and the same players should be in Training today after that pish yesterday, but their off. Some people need to weaken up at the Football mess we are. It's patently obvious now that's where our focus should have been in the 3rd 2 nd div, like Hearts and Hibs are doing, but no Mcoist went for big names and big contracts, not saying he put the cost on the Contracts but he signed loads of SPL players and loads of Young players who where holding their own at that level where dropped or loaned out.see Andy Little, McKay, Gallagher and others. We sacked our scouts and didn't replace them. Investing in youth won't win the league next season, which was what where this particular part of the thread came from. Loyal Bear 72 363
I also feel that a lot of people completely forget pre admin. I.e. Getting knocked out the CL, Europa and the league cup exit to Falkirk by September.I also remember a club that was never off the front page due to who owned us and the threat of administration got bigger. I remember losing our best player to season ending injury at pittodrie. The club were unable to buy in the window to replace that player. Instead we sold our next best player in Jelavic and didn't even replace him. As for the early Euro exits, Smiths team got knocked out straight away in Europe a few times as well. Ger77 742
Brave post OP.You're entitled to your opinion but there comes a time when enough is enough. That said, some of the abuse directed at Mr McCoist on this Forum has been bheast like.I would suggest that next weeks game will determine his short term future, I wonder if his players will repay him or hang him out to dry again. sandyinroyalblue 16,478
Can I point out to the OP that normal protocol for any Ally supporters is to lie low for about a month after a bad result and then you come out with this rubbish. Most of their signings have been loaned, nothing stopping us doing the same. We have players who are more than capable of competing at that level but who have become very lazy due the poor guidance from the management team. Ally had a poor attitude to training as a player which is why Souness dropped him and what was Allys response did he knuckle down and try to prove Souness wrong? No he made a big joke of it calling himself the judge because he was on the bench. That is the mentality of the head coach we have now so it is no shock the players are following his example. Prso's headband 35,510
What a way to start a sunday morning for me. Laughed the whole way through that.Went into a 15 point lead WHICH HE LOST.Not had money to spend but by the end of this season will have spent £21 MILLION on wages ( and we might still be in the championship ffs)Smith won things with average teams against Sellick sides that were a lot better than us. Mccoist has actually lost at home to QOTS, a under 21 Hearts team, a shocking hibs team, drew against Stranraer, Alloa etc. Lost too forfar and struggled like fuck away from home all last season and this season with like 3 or 4 exceptions. Hes still not won the ramsdens cup which is a fucking embarassment of the highest order. He APPLAUDED our team when they collected their LOOSERS medals last season in the ramsdens, How fucking pathetic is that?Yes players dont play well all the time. But for us our team play worse than better Most of the time.Youth development? Whats that? Macleod and Aird? .The style should 100% be better, Grinding out results against guys whose wages range from £30quid a game to probably under £500 a week. Get a fucking grip. With the players, facilities and resources we have we should be beating these teams home and away easily. Imagine accepting mediocrity as a Rangers fan, the worlds most successful club. Pathetic

We are well short of top class players in our team because we have been free transfer shopping, we need internationalists.
