I used to listen to the crowd in the background as they were one step ahead.You'd here a big "oooooooh" of disappointed shortly before the commentator announcing "and here comes the shot on goal". Spent years worth of Saturdays sitting in the truck outside my house (only place to get good SW reception) listening to Paddy Feeney on BBC World Service.
