He didn't want to play for NI under Worthington.Correct, when Shane was playing at the Milk Cup for NI U19's, Worthington was there and had a chat with the players after one of the games, he said a few critical things to Shane which he didn't like nor agree with and after that he had no interest in playing for Worthington, he was appraoched by the Republic but chose to stay with NI.
