LegendofCoop 18,062
With today's two signings, our squads average age is now: 25.I can't remember a time in our recent history when our average age was so low. Obviously the squad is untested yet, and we don't really know what it is capable of, but I think that stat alone....considering how much first team experience these players have, is really refreshing. Perhaps we will also sign a couple of more players...so this may also come down a fraction again!Bell: 28Foderingham: 24Zliukas: 31Wilson: 23Kiernan: 24McGregor: 29Tavernier: 23Wallace: 27Halliday: 23Law: 27Crawford: 22Murdoch: 20Templeton: 26Aird: 20Shiels: 30Miller: 36Clark: 24McKay: 20Waghorn:

LegendofCoop 18,062
Add hardie into that and it comes down again Hardie & Walsh would bring it down mate, but I just took names from the first team squad as shown on the official site. LegendofCoop 18,062
McGregor is 29........I had no fucking idea Thought he was a lot younger.Templeton is the one that shocked me the most. I thought he was older than that. If anyone had asked, I'd have said 29 or 30.
SwallowsHisOwnSpunk 7,983
Zaliukas, Shiels, Law, Bell & McGregor should all be gone in the next few seasons so that brings the age dramatically down.Add in Ryan Sinnamon, Luca Gasparotto, Tom Walsh, Callum Gallagher & Ryan Hardie and the real average age is right down. Jimfanciesthedude 25,550
think back to the hibs 3-1 loss at ibrox last season, i posted up both starting 11's and the average age, hibs was around the 25 mark, ours was a month or two off 30some change

EastEnclosureBear 3,017
Hopefully Jason Holt is added to the squad, think he's 22.

AlBear. 8,499
More importantly, IMO, all the new signings sound like they have old heads. What we lacked most last season was mental fortitude. It looks like we have addressed this. It's a young team, but it's not a raw team. There's lots of experience in there despite the average age. There's been a big demand for exactly this type of squad....so hopefully they can deliver the goods. There's a lot of experience from the English championship in there too, which is a great league.I'm pretty sure I said on here at some point last season that McGregor will come good for us in a couple of years Still time yet mate! Bears&Reds 460
You think its young now, wait till next season and the likes of Miller and co are gone, it will be down closer to 22-
Amato 3,094
Glad to see the average age come down so much. Surprised nobody is bandying around the phrase "young and hungry" to describe our signings, it's been seriously under used...
Dutchy 1,200
Get Miller out! Totally forgot about him. Wonder if he'll encourage the young guys, or just moan like a spoilt prima donna when he fucks up?
