is rangers tv delivered through the browser or is it something different? might buy a subscription if i can chromecast it to the tv

Yes, it's just a flash player on a webpage. I just use a normal pc browser.

Some folk have trouble with various apple or android devices, but I believe there are solutions now for most devices.

it's just a video player that loads on their website like how YouTube works. no downloading plug ins (unless your browser doesn't have Flash)/clients. just cast the website to your TV.

If anybody else has a "will it work with this..." question, here's the answer...

go to rangerstv.tv and watch the short video on the home page.

If you can watch that video with the device/setup you're talking about, you can watch Rangers TV with it too. Simple!

:D

So... Will it work on Mac? ;)

Great, definately be worth setting this up,i would rather the club made some money off it than me streaming through kodi etc.

I think he might be teasing you a bit. [edit: or maybe not, now that I've read it again.)

I haven't tried it, but I reckon it will not be that great - compared to normal TV, but still watchable.

Not at all.

Bought previous games, when we pounded Airdrie away was one of them.

HDMI replicates the exact picture from your laptop so if the stream is shit on your laptop then it's equally shit on the big screen.

If it's pixelated when you click full screen on your laptop then it will be the same on the big screen.

Hopefully others on here can back me up with that.

Got you. (tu)

When I first read your post, I misunderstood "big screen" and had visions of you watching it sarcastically in Ultra HD on the side of an office block!

Yeah been watching the recoded games out here in South Korea, but having to watch not full screen as even the picture quality full screen on the laptop is poor, like a soft focus. Ported HDMI to the TV was still better than on the laptop. whether it's different with the live games I don't know.

Sometimes the advice given in this forum can lead to very complicated decision making scenarios like the suggestion to use Zenmate.

To let you understand and give you an example of what I mean, occasionally when reading a book I would come across a word that I did not understand the meaning of so I would look it up in a dictionary and when doing so I would then find another word in the definition that was also beyond my ken so I would have to look that one up as well and lo and behold when I did this it would lead me on to some very interesting topic and before I knew it I was reading an entirely different fucking book

.

Similarly when Zenmate was mentioned on here this morning I thought, well that sounds really interesting I must check it out.

So I did, I googled Zenmate reviews which eventually led me into a whole new reality full of technobabble with it,s own specialised vocabularies which quite frankly although very interesting has left me a wee bit confused so I was wondering if anybody on here has found this ISP extension to be ok.(see, I'm even using the jargon now)

Haha, done the same mate!

All i want to clarify is, if i download zenmate through chrome then go to rangerstv i'll be able to purchase and view the game as zenmate will be hiding that i'm actually in the uk?

Whats the picture quality like when streaming onto a large tv (50"),i'm aware its not full Hd but is it watchable?

At the Vancouver Club we take the lap top picture and project it on to a large screen via a multi media projector using a regular video cable (not HDM1 cable) the picture quality is pretty good. Our next multi media projector will have a HDM1 plug in so the quality will improve. The limiting factor is often the download speed from your ISP and processor speed of your computer and keep your cache buffer free from other shit as well,

On another piece Rangers TV is apparently losing money hand over fist so if we want these games that are not available anywhere else we need to support them rather than going to free feeds.
