blueballss 2,975
Trying to look at this in cold light of day, saw it against Utd in 90s, against mhanks 80s, winning league long beofre cup final and no being able to get that sharpness but honestly feel we were at a disadvantage with no competitive game for the period of 3 weeks. Sometmes i thought the guys were running in treacle, quitest game big Lee had in while, dinnae get me started on that defence of ours, you could see those fuckers had match sharpness ps i blame the SFA feckin play offs
RFCRobertson 11,792
Its more than 20 days I think. Last competitive game was April 17, something like 34 days. Because the remaining league games weren't competitive as we'd already won the league.
blueballss 2,975
never thought of that, that is the basis of the previous defeats i mentioned as well...doh
Ibroxholm 2,291
Absolutely crucial IMO. Numerous instances in the past show how much a disadvantage not playing regular competitive football has on performance. It showed in our performance today, we were so off the pace it wasn't true. sassaaaa 11,406
Tarrier excuse , we should have been up for this.........
Turnberry18 3,204
It's been hard as a fan to adjust to still be in the season when the league campaign was over nearly three weeks ago. I think the players may well have found this a hard one as well in a playing sense.
RangersMedia 35,961
Took us half an hour to get going.
bombaybadboy08 15,660
No excuses, it's a mindset and they have been in holiday mode since beating the tims. We were moaning we wanted a rest and laughing at Hibs because they would have more games, now the lack of games is being peddled as our excuse. Not necessarily directed at the OP but seen numerous people say it.
hammer93 15,113
It didn't help and it showed in our passing.....but it's to easy to make that as an excuse, we were poor allday and didn't deserve to win. Hopefully it's a learning curve and only serves to prove we are still a good bit away.

We move on, and under his guidance, we will grow.
Jimfanciesthedude 24,938
what about the defending at corners, im sure we've been making that mistake all season, it hasnt just happened since april tav hasnt been a defender all season, kiernan the same, we havent had decent cover for our starting 11, nothing has changed since last september,
