Sun story about Kiernan

Did anyone see anything or are The Sun shit stirring again?

RANGERS stopper Rob Kiernan needed security protection at Ibrox on Saturday after coming under attack from a bitter mob of fans.

SunSport understands Kiernan — left out of Mark Warburton’s 18-man squad for the 1-1 draw against Ross County — was left shaken by the level of verbal abuse aimed at him from a number of supporters still angry over the midweek 4-1 hammering by Hearts.

Sources revealed he was targeted as he made his way to the players lounge at half-time.

It’s believed several stewards had to intervene to prevent the flashpoint escalating.

The defender was left out against the Staggies with Philippe Senderos coming in for only a third start of the season.

It’s expected Warburton will speak to the 26-year-old about the incident when the squad returns to training at Auchenhowie.

Kiernan — who cost a modest six-figure sum from Wigan in 2015 — signed a contract extension last July.

The ex-Kilmarnock loanee, who once worked with Warburton at Watford, has made 71 appearances for Gers.

It’s unclear yet if the scenes have made him reconsider his future.

If he was abused then obviously it's out of order.

Of course, The Sun always tells the truth, so clearly we can count on the veracity of the story.

That's why I posted it to see if anyone had seen/heard anything about it.

Kiernan is an awful player but personally abusing him in front of his family is just despicable.

Probably best for the big mans safety that he stays away from Rangers games until his contracts up..

We can but only live in hope.

All this shit storm surrounds Warburton, so I am pretty confident he has made his decision to do one. Just a matter of when. Hopefully sooner than later.

I wish he would show that aggression in the right way on a park.

He did at St Johnstone.

If your referring to that half arsed swing at the Guys gut, that would about some him up.

As MW says "he doesn't know how good he is "

Maybe got an inkling on Saturday.
