This whole thread is one of the best things to have happenend over the last 6 or so years...

Bet the good folks who started this off, some time ago now, wished they had never even bothered.

What was the point of it all ...?

Yea, like so many others, I noted the thread and like yourself have been 'sucked in'...

What you have so heartfeltly  expressed, I'm sure is not lost to them.

Magic posting, our fellow Bear...

Always remember when we signed him and were told he could hit a ball so hard it was some kinda record in Germany. Didn't  take us long to see that shot nearly burst a few nets hence he came with nickname Der Hammer.

Was his shot in Germany not recorded at over 80mph I'm sure ? fucking mental.

Aye just googled it here's what I found....

Jorg has hardest shot in Britain.

Ibrox idol Jorg Albertz has the hardest shot in Britain, Mailsport can reveal.

The German midfielder's 32-yard freekick in Rangers' 3-1 win over celtic at Ibrox on Thursday night was clocked at an incredible 78.9 MILES AN HOUR as it blazed past keeper Stewart Kerr the previous thunderbolt best from Newcastle's Alan Shearer.

Sky Sports executive producer Andy Melvin revealed: "We put the computers on a series of shots and from a dead ball, Albertz's was undoubtedly the hardest.

"The previous best was Alan Shearer's first goal for Newcastle, which clocked 77.2 mph.

"We've already put the clock on one Albertz effort this season when he scored against Hibs at Ibrox and it came in at 75.9mph. But his goal on Thursday night beat the record comfortably."
