1pm is better than 4pm for a Sunday but still quite shite.

We should change the lyrics to “every Sunday we follow”.

We should dump the song entirely because it claims we are the most successful team in football

The only reason Al-Ahly are considered the most successful team is because they count regional/minor trophies and we don't. If we included things like the Glasgow cup we would be comfortably ahead and if they didn't consider regional tournaments we would also be ahead.

I know they did in leagues but how many have they won overall?

We are still ahead if you’re only counting leagues and cups. NI has the County Antrim shield they compete for every year along with the league and 2 domestic cups though, which puts them comfortably ahead on 157.

If you want to take away the shield we are still ahead. If you include defunct competitions and smaller competitions they are miles ahead of anyone and their record won’t be beaten as it’s well over 200

They’re on 110 if you remove the shield and all the other defunct competitions, but I don’t really think you can remove a shield they annually compete for.

That shield seems like the equivalent of the Glasgow cup and we don't include that so I'm not including theirs.

Fair enough, I didn’t realise they were claiming to be so far ahead until 10 minutes ago

Kind of silly though. We may aswell make a song claiming to have won more European cups than anyone else aswell

Not really. Pretty sure Kyle Lafferty isn’t 7 foot and half  the teams in the uk aren’t by far the worlds greatest team

The shields they compete for every year, is that basically just like the community shield?

If so it’s a glorified friendly and definitely doesn’t count.

Nah, it’s a tournament between the clubs in Antrim. Larne beat Linfield this season in the final

That’s a terrible comparison. We sing that song with that line because it is meant to be fact.

Have you honestly been singing that song thinking sure if this isn’t true it doesn’t matter?

You sing a football song cos it’s a good tune regardless of the lyrics.

stop being a miserable bastard and trying to be over clever. We don’t play every Saturday either btw Roofe Hagi Tavernier and Bassey are not Rangers through and through and Lunstrum never has or ever will be the best player on earth if you’re interpreting every song as fact

But we were the most successful team in Football, and 55 titles was the most in football history. They were sung because they were facts

Deary me, that lyric about being the most successful club in football is in there because it was at the time of writing considered to be fact.

Theres a huge difference between singing songs about players and claiming them to be Rangers through and through, and singing a song that claims we have won more honours domestically than anyone else. You already know that though.
