Cheltenham Festival 2024

Recommended Posts

What I posted last Thursday on General Betting

My 'pin on the page' has thrown up Ballyburn, Theleme, Dysart Enos, Lossiemouth, Shishkin, Chianti Classico.     Bottom line, I don't really have a clue how the festival will go.

Lossiemouth and Chianti delivered.

There is arguments for and against both horses to be honest.

Embassy Gardens blew up last year at Cheltenham but has looked impressive this year, his jumping especially.

Corbetts Cross had his own problems at Cheltenham last year when he ran into the railings at the last hurdle. His jumping has been a bit suspect at times this year but has a really good chance if he jumps well. He is a bit quirky but the trainer is top class to be fair so I'd imagine he will have him spot on for this.

I picked Embassy Gardens as he tends to make ground at his fences rather than lost ground. Something Corbetts Cross has been at risk of in the past.

Some training performance in the last. Well done.

Father in Law update......... Has had 1st 3 winners so far.  Picked Minella Indo in the voided x-country and has gone for one of his favourite trainers, Venetia, in the 4.50 (Gemirande).   Long shot at 33/1.

Me?  Not doing so good... but had e/w on 66/1 Franciscan Rock

How confident are people on Teahupoo and Brighterdaysahead?

Elliott must be confident after re-routing Irish Point to the champion hurdle....Brighterdaysahead is another talking horse as the next equine god....who knows as Mullins is generally the master in the race
