OlegKuznetsov 10,816
At their peak, or over their career, who was the better player? For me, it's Zidane by a mile. He had the grace, the class and the football brain. To my mind, Ronaldiho's more of a show man, suited to the Harlem Globetrotters. He puts too much emphasis on tricks and gimmicks. Zidane was a real player.
Dado'sMulls 2,638
No need to even think about this one, Zidane all day long!
Big-Brydo 0
Zidane gets my vote the man was sheer class at his peak. The winning goal he scored at Hamden for Real sticks in my mind. The technique to strike the ball like that wif his so called weaker foot was just amaisen.
Muff 245
Zidane by a country mile. One of the greatest players ever to play the game!
trueblue86 0
I would agree, ZZ was amazing and a truly great player. Pity he had to end his career as he did, as in the head butt in the world cup final, as that sort of tarnished the end of a great career
Stardog 11
Zidane by miles. He tore Brazil to shreds on his own at the last WC.

papaguy51 912
Zidane. His touch was incredible, sometimes he left me scratching my head at some of the things he pulled off. I remember watching that game v Brazil in the last WC, one of the best individual performances I've ever seen.
Stuart_RFC 41
Zidane every time, the ultimate footballer, he had the whole package. People say 'World Class' too much these days...but he definatly is World Class. On a different level all together.
OlegKuznetsov 10,816
Cheers for those videos guys. The man was class. Touch, pace, balance, agility, strength, vision, power, grace, awareness. There's not an attribute he's lacking in. Ronaldinho does tricks. Zidane is simpy magical. I like the sound of that. Any chance of coaxing him out of retirement? Any bears with young lads, get your sons DVDs of this guy and make them watch them dawn till dusk, with some practice in between.
