Boab 73
Bosnia Call-Up Dilemma For Papac Jan 18 2008 RANGERS defender Sasa Papac is heading for a club v country row after being recalled to the Bosnia squad. Papac has been named in the squad for the trip to Tokyo to play Japan on January 31 - the day after Rangers' CIS Cup semi-final at Hampden against Hearts. Papac is back in the international reckoning after refusing to play last season in a row over the coaching methods used by the Bosnian management team. Their FA sacked manager Fuad Muzurovic and replaced him with former captain Meho Kodro, who has recalled Papac. But the match in Japan clashes with Rangers' cup tie and Ibrox manager Walter Smith looks set to refuse permission for his player to travel to the Far East. It represents a tricky dilemma for Papac, who is keen to re-establish himself with the new international manager. But boss Kodro said: "I accept the squad could change since the match in Japan is not on the FIFA calendar and clubs may not allow all the players to join up." http://www.<No links to this website>/sport/footbal...86908-20289477/
Muff 245
Let him go, Hutton at RB, Whittaker at LB. Whittaker looks better at LB than he does in his preferred position.

Poetry_In_Blue 1,043
No dilema, the international match isn't recognised by which ever body that makes these rulings so Rangers can refuse to send him and Papac doesn't have a choice.

Or even bring back Smif! True about Whittaker, don't think Smith will be ready for this match though.
BlueSuedeSambas 53,919
Surely a cup semi final should take priority over a friendly?

FlippinEck 3,708
but i thought it was down to political problems and stuff, was it just the managers fault? anyway, if he does go, good luck to him, hes probably getting good recognition over there for his good performances for us
nvager 498
Injuries or suspensions may dictate a need for him at Ibrox. Who knows. Cant see WS letting him go all the same.
