Listen Boyd is never going to win over Walter Smith and I suspect he does want rid of him. I still remain unconvinced of his work rate and I wont deny his ability to put the ball away, I do however believe that Velicka could prove to be more valuable than Boyd has been for us. Expecting 20goals plus from him but if someone came in with an offer of £3 Million plus for Boyd im fairly convinced we would accept it and he would be off his way. I also see him as being much less valuable to the team than the likes of Cuellar if selling Boyd allowed us to hold onto him I'd be more than happy to do so. We have our replacement in Velicka, i could be wrong but I doubt it! I also agree with Papa....why would THEY be scared of him, he disappears against the bigger teams! I also believe one problem is Smith has sign TOO MANY strikers putting him in the position that he must offload some. Novo Boyd Velicka Lafferty Miller Cousin Darcheville At least two of these players must go and interest has cooled on Cousin and we wont shift JCD! He is probably our most sellable asset in that position and would command the highest fee which is so important to the club right now! Boyd is proven SPL goal scorer and obviously thats our priority now so he MUST stay, even Walter must see he's the only of our strikers who guarentees goals.
