I'm 21 now, and got myself in deep from the age of 18. I've stopped a few times, and gone back each time just the same. In my 3 years I've lost £4,525 exactly. I lost £110 in 48 hours a few nights ago, and swore that was me done. I'd asked Jim Beam for advice on the matter, and I'll happily go public and admit he was great about it. He advised me of the horrors of gambling, the pains and ruined lives that come with it, and essentially told me I'd be wise to stop. I agreed with him, and told him so. I went a day without a bet, but my downfall was looking at the fixtures last night. I couldn't believe how League 1 had somehow got all of the top teams at home, most of them against sides struggling. I told myself I was stupid, but that it was the best bet I'd seen in ages, and just couldn't say no. I put £50 in my account, and put it all on a single accumulator. I barely slept at all last night due to the stress of gambling on me, but when I got out of bed this morning, I put another £50 in and made a few more bets.
