Portsmouth are in the market for a new midfielder having sold Lassana Diarra to Real Madrid. Brown is believed to be on Tony Adams' wanted list with the Pompey boss receiving rave reviews on the Scot's performances at Celtic. The 23-year-old has established himself as key member of Gordon Strachan's side since his arrival from Hibernian in the summer of 2007 and he is a key member of the Scotland set-up. Adams is thought to be a big admirer of Brown and believes the all-action midfielder would be perfectly suited for a move to the Premier League. Portsmouth have money to spend from the £20million sale of Diarra and they are believed to be preparing a big-money bid as they look to tempt Celtic into selling one of their prized assets. He'd be a good signing for them. Brown is a good player, his supporting players that are pish, thats why people don't think browns that good now, cause hes always got to chase the ball down before he can do anything with it.
