What pisses me off

Is SDM and Walter attempting to tell us the fans that we don't get it and we have to live in the real world with a full blown economic crisis.

The fact is it is THEM, SDM, Bain and Walter that:

1. Blew a fortune in income last season by negotiating exaggerated bonuses with players re UEFA final run.

2. Grew the debt from 6m to 30m in three years by misspent millions on transfers.

3. Spent 7m on 3 strikers BEFORE Kaunas - we had 5 already - never bought any midfielders/ replacement for Cuellar, in time and lost to a pub team. Cl money all out the window.

4. Will not give our youth a chance, but spend millions - 6m - on Lafferty and Edu and ? if any on Aaron. None of whom can get a game. Lafferty occasionally plays, but out of position.

5. Have at least 8 rubbish players on our books who we cannot sell and who seldom play.

6. Walter refuses to even think about playing Gow who two other teams want - but dont want Walter's other dross who do play at times, or Hemdani?

7. Give Webster a three year contract then loan him out?

8. Give Adam a 5 year contract then after a further year tell him he is not wanted?

Madness if you ask me.

Webster is the real killer, started one game whilst on lone, then signed him on a 3 year deal.

No, Kaunas and the crap that we did before it and what we never did before it was the real killer. Then spending 6m on Lafferty and Edu. Let's hope their potential flourishes.

Lets face there are too many, it is scary.

The only saving grace is we are still challenging on all fronts - the next 4 weeks are VITAL. See another thread.

Why do people always use that as a reason, whilst forgetting Bougherra, Mendes and Davis?

Who has 'forgotten' Bougherra, Mendes and Davis?

Maybe because Bougherra, Mendes and Davis are esthablished players who have come into the first team and held down there positions every since.

Edu & Lafferty on the other hand, were signed on the basis of their potential, as opposed to their ability to come straight into the first team and make an impact.

To spend over six million pounds on potential is criminal, credit crunch or no credit crunch.

Totally agree and the signing of Velicka has also been a disaster even if it was only a million quid.

For Rangers it is - £6m should have been spent on players who were going to play every week. That money should have been spent on a RB, CB, LM/W....we were in no position to spend big on 'potential'. I don't know how Wally Smith could think about the future when the present needed addressed?

Plenty of potential already available at Murray Park if Walter would only take the time to look.

In Furman we had a player who was held in high regard at Chelsea, had already spent a couple of seasons adjusting to his surrondings, captained our youth team to a double and had been called up internationally for South Africa.

We totally ignored all of this, loaned him out and signed an expensive import, who now has to climatise and adapt, in Edu.

It really is mind boogling stuff..

I agree..... no argument there! ( well maybe from some management)

Also whats happened to that "Rangers star" that gave us so much 'balance' a few weeks ago against the bheggars???

Will he be doing his 'balancing' act tomorrow? lets hope the f NOT!

Get Fleck in and Naismith..... for starters!
