What A Bargain

Recommended Posts

We have a 50,000+ Stadium. Charge £15 for adults, £5 for Kids and concessions and you will sell out most weeks. Between half an three quarter of a million gate money every home game. Add on to that the pies, programmes and numerous other merchandising opportunities including Fat Cat hospitality then we are talking about £1,000,000 a game at Ibrox.

Would you rather have 25,000 paying £30 per head, or 50,000 paying £15. No brainer.

Rangers should do better deals if we get to the SPL, make Adult tickets £15, Children/OAP £10, family of 4 £40, get bums on seats, i know wages/ bill etc have to be paid buy it's time Rangers gave a little something back to the fans for their continued hard support when the club was on it's knees for 3 years, even if it's just for 1 season.

But what if even at £15 the attendances remain at 25k. Great idea and would love us to fall into a more German model of ticket prices for a nation but can't see it happening... Sadly

Football clubs really should do this kind of thing more often.

Let's get the fans in and put the atmosphere before the notion of constantly fleecing the man and woman on the street.

Let's put the game before greed.

I think this is one of the reasons the Bundesliga is now so successful. Also gets the next generation of Bears interested & will be the lifeblood of the club in years to come.

Do we have discretion over prices in cup games too?

If we did, then it would be a god idea to do these type of cheap tickets for early round cup ties. We sometimes struggle to get 25k in those type of games. 5-10 quid tickets could see full houses.

Was working yesterday so didn't get to watch the game, but the atmosphere sounded great over the radio.

It would help if we got the German television money ... ultimately though if timmy pays more than we do they will always have the advantage and as we all know second place in Scotland is nowhere

It has been shown time and again that if you make the games more affordable then the people will come. We get 25 to 30K at the moment charging the current prices. Guaranteed to increase if the prices were lowered.

It is simple arithmetic, the more people in the ground, the more pies, programmes, half time draw tickets, shirts, scarfs, Rangers Garden Gnomes etc, you sell.

Given that safe standing is most definitely on the horizon now then we could have an area of Ibrox now where 7 or 8 thousand could get in for a tenner. Trust me that if we had a safe standing area, then it would be the first to sell out every week.

Tickets should be more affordable. Clubs are charging far too much in this country. £15 for an adult and £5 for a kid is the highest it should be outside an Old Firm game and Europe.

I agree. Footfall is incredibly important. In the long run you would be making a lot more. We need to think ahead! High prices will keep people away.

I do agree although second place to them will also do that so it's a balance act charge enough to win but not so much that no one can afford it

If they charge top dollar and get half a stadium and we charge less and get a full one PLUS future generations actually coming to the game, then there will only be one winner! In my opinion, of course. :)

Having the right man as manager makes all the difference but unfortunately we are now in an era where they have an extra 10k seats which gives them a small advantage ... ok we know their ground is a toilet but at the moment it's a revenue raising toilet

It is a White Elephant. Half of that fucking midden has been shut for most of the season. The Mhanks will not admit it, but they are desperate for us to get back to the top division because it is the only hope they have of ever selling out that shithole again.

I remember dempsey saying that it would eventually cost much more to maintain than it ever did to build because everything was the cheapest of the cheap
