  1. Yes you may be right that he gets pass marks from many as he is a bear, however, it can also work the other way! People joining the bandwagon and blaming him for goals that he should not be blamed for need to reflect on previous stars. He as a CM should not be blamed for marking at corners (just as Gazza and De Boer weren't).
  2. I can't say I have read the conversations leading to this post, however, I think that Halliday's midfield display in the last Old Firm game was simply outstanding. then to think his goal in the Scottish cup final (out of absolutely nothing) near pulled us out of a heap. Got to say Andy's name should be nowhere near a negative post on here!
  3. 'lessons learned' After our last competitive game (which I will always relate to as a form guide) we were dire. However, the bear that I am will never say no! I just hope that we can sort another CB and striker out and we could stand a chance.
  4. Tav has practically played as a right midfielder on many occasions already this season. In addition to this he will instinctively track back and help Ball if need be. I'm not expecting this to happen I just believe that Tav is more than capable, and probably our next best backup, as an effective right midfielder/winger as his scoring exploits highlight.
  5. --------------------------------------------Wes--------------------------------------------- Ball---------------Kiernan----------------------------Wilson-----------------Wallace ----------------------------Halliday---------------Shiels----------------------------- Tav---------------------------------------Holt-------------------------------------Mackay ------------------------------------------Miller----------------------------------------------- Perhaps we could shake things up a bit and let Tav take Harry's position. It is certainly an option!
  6. Perhaps so! who cares mate? you know what I mean?
  7. Should have been the goal that wrapped up the league!
  8. Andy Halliday stood up today! Big time, he stood up where those around him fell short. Forrester's face, when he came off said it all. Brothers in arms and all that, he did not want to come off(hamstring strain or not). Some can handle the pressure and some cannot! Andy Halliday stood up today! 9. I have got to hand it to Kenny Miller. When he confronted the ref at the end he held his composure. Pure class! I, on the other hand would have gave him a piece of my mind, the mutant that he is!
  10. Foderingham Tavernier, Kiernan, Wilson, Wallace. Halliday Zelalem Holt, O'Halloran, Clark, McKay. A fast, forward line with a very intelligent feed!
  11. This is a concern of mine as well, especially concerning Waghorn. I feel he is neither a 'true' winger or an an SPL winning lone striker. However, I absolutely love this style of play as we don't ever seem to look beaten (learning from the St Johnstone and Falkirk games) at any point.
  12. I have got to say, even although I would have liked us to win, I enjoyed that. We totally dominated a team that put out St Johnstone in the last round and have also held Septic to two goaless draws. We had strength in depth to deal with Kiernan coming off and if anything we carved out better chances in the final 20 mins with the consequent changes.

  14. As much as I think that the whole defence played well, I think that Wilson deserves massive credit for putting his body in front of two goal bound efforts that could have totally changed the game.
  15. Surprise it came from Halliday putting his boot through the ball!
  16. I really can't understand why some of our support can't see his talent when playing in our current set up. He had a two quite lacklustre performances after coming back from international duty but, and a big but, he wouldn't be the first. I had a Killie fan (friend) attend one of our games ann all he done was rave about Zelalem.. Yes, he might not score goals but the boy can pass. Oh aye, he did no bad against Brazil also!
  17. Aside from Oduwa,I thought Barry McKay was outstanding (again). Seems to make the right decision far more often than not. I need to eat humble pie here as I thought last year that he would be well gone. Great to see I was wrong. I can actually see him blossoming into a fantastic player.
  18. Could you please consider if you are donating. Things like unused soap, razors and especially (taken from the majority of Scotland's food banks) women's sanitary items.
  19. If I was Andy Halliday, and everything he has done for the team (on the park) I would be annoyed to be labelled similar to someone who hasn't yet played a first team game.
  20. I cannot see Aird featuring much this year, unless Tavernier gets injured. For that reason I would like him to go out on loan for 6 months experience at right back.
  21. Having a manager who can bring in gems like him is fantastic. Fuck the fish bowl Scottish signings who are way over priced.
  22. Tavernier was outstanding. Credit also must go to Halliday and Holt as their work rate was unbelievable.
