  1. 1980 if memory serves. Kilmarnock 1 Rangers 8.
  2. Honestly can't see us being shafted in this one. Although stranger things have happened. St J and us will be the only two from the top 6 played more away games than home at the split. Partick or Hearts. One of those will probably be the ones to play three away ties against another top 6 side when you analyze things. Hearts have had one home tie against sheep, Partick and StJ. Partick only one home tie vs sheep, them and us.
  3. Live in the local area and drove to work from Cowdenbeath to Dunfermline. High winds. Heavy rain and localised flooding. Will be surprised if game is on.
  4. Sandy Jardine rear 7. Heard no booing, probably because the rhecord reporters boos were drowned out by the applause.
  5. Week by week my my respect grows. Wish I wasn't such a pessimistic bear though. I worry that he'll be so successful that Spurs might be interested in luring him away if this season goes awry for them. MW is a self confessed spurs fan and we know how tempting it can be when your club come calling (Souness). I'll enjoy the ride whilst it last though. My liver will certainly be thankful, as I won't be in the Louden for half time any more.
  6. That really brought shivers to me. Watching our title celebrations last year, I just couldn't get into a party feeling. Losing Sandy was a big blow. He was one of the players I idolised as a lad. I watched from the Govan Rear section 7 (as it was then) and I couldn't keep my eyes off the east enclosure. I imagined myself as a boy standing in that area. Watching Sandy warm up big Peter McCloy with some short ball work. Now half that team I watched are gone and I feel old, but rejoice in the many happy memories they gave me. Now when I attend, I will look down to the goal area at the Copland road and say a little prayer for Sandy in royal blue.
  7. Kinglassie loyal from "the tute" as Ed said. Oh and Ed!!! Get your arse back on the bus tae.
  8. 31st July. 31st August and 30th September.
  9. Managed to shed 36lb so far this year, so fished out my old Diadora NTL tangerine top. It fits!!!
  10. No mate. I was the same. Had to complete the renewal form for that option.
  11. Disgusting behaviour at the end, where Bougherra attacks the instigator and throws him to the ground. Should see him banned for life. Absolutely no justification for that unprovoked assault. I'm just sending an email to the compliance officer now, seeking clarification.
  12. Changed my vote to yes. I was convinced that I was finished with it, missing half the games because of work and fixture reschedules, as well as several other things. But the renewal form landed on my floor and one sleepless night later, I gave in. Was probably always going to.
  13. It's the bloody waiting I hate. I've been ready all day, but bus isn't for another 2 hours.
  14. Pedantic I know. But could be 210 minutes+ penalties until our return. I admire your optimism though.
  15. and 50% of the gate receipts going to the governing body. Thanks for fucking us over Neil. here's another £million on top of the rest of the money you bastards stole from us.
  16. Was a bit too emotional to write before now, He was one of my boyhood heroes, second only to wee Bud in my affections. I had watched Rangers for years on TV only. I come from Fife and was mainly raised by my grandparents, who were frightened to let me go to Ibrox after the sad deaths of the kids from the county Kingdom after the disaster of 71. I was then allowed to go to my first match at Ibrox vs the sheep in 1980 (East Enclosure) and what a day, I was hooked from then and Sandy in Royal blue, was as majestic in real life. We only drew that day, but the sadness that hits me now when I think of that game, is that 4 of them have put aside their working tools. Davie Cooper, Colin McAdam, Ian Redford and now Sandy Jardine joins them. Waves of sadness wash over me and I feel I;ll never see his like again for Rangers. Rest in Peace Sandy, gone, but never ever forgotten.
  17. You wouldn't win much money brother. I generally am. It is easy to build a mental picture of persons on here and assume you know their character from what they've posted. I'm generally an upbeat and happy guy. That outlook has been a bit dented by our teams style, or lack thereof.
  18. I still haven't decided yet. It isn't only due to the grim product on display, although i never thought it would become something of a chore to get myself motivated to watch Rangers. Match days are now often great days out with my mates, ruined by having to leave the pub and "clock on" for the game. Often there's only a couple of us left for the second half, as the others get an extra 45 minutes of drinking in, before the bus back to Fife. My main reason for holding off on renewal is the SPFL's constant rescheduling of our matches, often at short notice. I only attend home games and have missed five matches already this season and will miss a fifth, as cannot attend the Forfar game due to work. Am thinking it's probably best i just buy tickets, as and when my shifts allow me.
  19. Not just them. There are some of our "own" (tag debateable) who lift stuff from RM and post elsewhere to paint us in a bad light. I was even referred to as a dinosaur on here and told that Rangers no longer needed fans like me. Time to fight back against the apologists and handwringers too.
  20. Absolutely tragic, this shitty little nation. To think I was almost bought off with bridge toll abolition and free prescriptions. My eyes are open now though and ye'll get nae votes fae me fer yer wee fiefdom Herr Schalmond. Neds can assault pensioners and steal their money and get community service. Certain clubs can seriously abuse young lads under their care for years and it gets swept under the carpet. Then you get something like this. Mein Gott unt Himmell. The law truly is an ass!! I hope a collection gets lifted for Limmy. I'd chip in.
  21. I thought it was the lad McAleer that had to change the shirt for a blood injury? Just checked and apparently it was Watt that had to change shirts for the head knock The number 10 must have lost his, as they all seemed to have them at the start. His was rather thinner though, as if folded over a few times.
  22. You assume that all Rangers fans are Scottish. I have followed Rangers as long as I can remember. Have no interest in any other club (no favourite English team etc.). I have lived most of my life in Scotland, have a Scottish accent, my parents were Scottish and I will probable die here. But I am British (born in England) and will be damned if I give my support to a team followed by neds who boo our head of state and our national anthem. Sorry quoted wrong guy. Was guy you were quoting
  23. What can I, just one guy, do? My support the last few years has made no difference whatsoever. Any support for any of the players in this shambles doesnt change anything. I've ways been one to put trust in people, but when that trust is betrayed, there's no going back. I wanted to believe in CG. His sound bites were music to my ears and was probably meant to be just that. The sad part now is that I don't think I can trust anyone again in relation to Rangers. I spent a lot of money trying to save the club, more than I could really afford if I'm being honest. Donating to RFFF, donating tickets, buying shares. It just feels like a line of people have been dipping my pockets. An very close to being finished with football altogether.
