  1. If we had a captain in the mould of either George Young or Bobby Shearer we wouldn't have needed this thread.
  2. So after 5 years they are no closer to their aims than at the outset. Could this have anything to do with the takeover of Rangers First by RST? Were we not assured that this would never happen? I remember a certain poster called REA or RAE, I forget which, who assured us all that Rangers First was the way to go. I see se has disappeared now that the excrement has made contact with the ventilation system. I said at the time that this would end in tears; looks like I was right. I was not in a financial position to purchase share when the IPO was made and therefore excluded from subsequent share issues. However, with the latest share issue being open and my circumstances changed, I am now a shareholder and will be retaining my shares so that I have a voice if I should wish to make a point or vote. I only hope that there are many more new like minded shareholders following this share issue. As an aside, at the time Rangers First was set up, there were many posts from ACE which almost persuaded me. I know that he was a director at one point but note that he does not appear to be offering advice this time. Can/will someone clarify this for me?
  3. With most of these diddy teams, even if all theirfans turned up there would still be room for away fans. Cutting off their noses to spite their faces.
  4. Of course he was. It was a domestic suspension in Brazil just as Nathan Patterson's was.
  5. Just getting his own back on these cunts who shafted him in 2009 by getting him banned from playing for Scotland. The claimed that the "V" signs were to the supporters whilst I believe they were to the photographers and "journalists"
  6. Membership sent by bank transfer. £30 to reflect today's scoreline. I could have been a cheapskate and sent £21 to reflect tonight's!
  7. Not as good as the sharks snapping, tho'.
  8. Although it should have been more than 3, at least it is a lot better than our first match against them last season when we drew 0-0. Onwards and upwards.
  9. Mixed feelings about this. I do not think that SG will be leaving before his current contract ends as I consider him to be a man of principle. He has also said that he still has a lot to learn. He will get that chance at Ibrox as we are almost certainly going to be facing European opposition every year. When SG does go, I would be dubious about Beale taking over. Yes Smith taking over from Souness worked out but McCoist taking over from Smith was a disaster. Let's not be concerned about what might happen until it happens. Let's just enjoy being back, at last, to our rightful place in Scottish football and worry about a new manager when we have to.
  10. Point proven today when a Brighton player went to the PL for £50M.
  11. Wonder what he'd be like after a session on Gullane dunes?
  12. Unfortunately the sheep won't see this as The Spectator uses words of more than two syllables.
  13. Nothing heard from Club 1872 either. I thought that one of their objectives was to PROTECT Rangers. Could they not raise an action against this piece of shit?
  14. Changed days from when it carried a full page of Masonic Lodge meetings on a Saturday.
  15. Fuck your Harry, your Lou Macari, your Kevin Barry, your Harry Hood.
  16. Not according to Sadiq Khan. He said that there would be no open areas where Scots supporters could congregate. That was on Wednesday so I suppose things could have changed.
  17. Just announced on the BBC website that the two top targets are Nuno and Moyes. Moyes has agreed, but not yet signed, a new 3 year contract with West Ham. Maybe the lure of returning to Goodison would be enough to sway him. Nuno had a successful 4 year stint at Wolves so I would think that both of these would have to turn Everton down before they would even think about SG. We'll just need to wait and see.
  18. WTF. It was all over F/B at the weekend that his agent is speaking to clubs. Until the club make an announcement no-one knows what will happen.
  19. I see that the Mayor of London has advised fans without tickets not to travel as Trafalgar Squre will not be accessible due to it being a designated area for front line workers. Nippy and the SFA have also asked fans not to travel. Now I think that there is a snowball's chance in Hell that there will not be the usual invasion by the tartan trannies BUT, how many of them will be the ones who were up in arms about our fans going to George Square? Also, will Police Scotland be taking any action against any who do travel? It will be interesting to see the reaction when it is not Rangers' fans going against Der Fuehrer's instructions.
  20. Don't see why not. Plenty Scottish managers in the past have been club managers. Wouldn't be at all surprised if they went back to the selection committee method of picking the team.
  21. FFS don't say this is just the start or the muttonheids will say we're admitting to being a new club.
  22. I've just managed to pre-register so worth trying again now
