He was apparently known in Italy as "The Thorn of Inter" due to the amount he scored against them. I'm pretty sure we signed him simply because we had drawn Inter in the Champions League. And then he never played a game for us.

That photo is in google images searching Jim Baxter Rangers 1969 no sponsor and no Admiral logo.

Yip ... odd photo indeed.
Was on twitter a few weeks back.  Some guy was putting "tops logos" (like Admiral, McEwans etc etc for other teams) onto legends in their strips from bygone.  Some of them just looked ..... odd.
