I'd just wind them up even more about it, 'up to our knees in EBT's' and the like.

Get them even more raging, it'll turn full circle, where we'll be instigating the winding them up and taking the piss outta them, when they realise nothing is going to come of it.

Brilliant stuff, ganne wait

We could ask them to make up their minds regards Sevco or Rangers because surely in their warped minds, the title stripping can't effect 'newco'.....but, but it does !!!!

:p:

Aye, be a bit of sabre rattling from him now after the no stripping titles announcement, for the moon howlers.

All very predictable, he really does take that section of their support to be the thick as fuck muppets they are.

Can't wait

Noooo. Awaiting another 700 words of pompous arseholery from the "gfitw" telling us all about their "worldwide adulation", "morals" and 'why does everyone pick on them' greetin faced cunterry

Rod Petrie has just said the new board will review Rangers' use of EBTs.

They'll soon release a statement saying it's been looked at and they are happy with the action taken previously.

EDIT: Should also add, Petrie isn't actually on the board.

Tin hat time on, there's going to be a full scale review, thats why pistol pete left the SPFL board so he can get weasil deep in this shambles, if he stayed on the SPFL board he'd need to abstain like Robertson will have to do.

People need to be prepared for the shit hitting the fan here

Why would Lawwell have to abstain? His team are as involved just as much as any other Premiership side.

Why does Robertson have to abstain and why would Lawell have had to abstain? That's utter nonsense.

I'm no expert on the corporate governance rules in the SPFL, but I can't imagine there would be any rules requiring Robertson to abstain, never mind Lawell.

Completely agree. The very nature of the board would make almost any decision a potential conflict of interest as it would typically involve their club.

Conflict of interest, his club are the only ones who've made an official statement, he couldn't sit on the board of an orgaisation his club would be at loggerheads with.

Also with Robertson, there's absolutely no way he could possibly remain impartial, even if his say is 100% correct, honest and genuine, his priority should always be Rangers, the SPFL is a side job.

There's no conflict of interest. No more than there is involving any other club who played against us during the 'EBT years'.

We need to see a statement on it.

I have the feeling that the delay in issuing it has been about restructuring a response (from the one that Topping aluded to) and that the 'authorities' are starting to see a need to at least go through certain motions.

No need to worry the SPFL have already admitted they took legal advice on the matter several months back and nothing's changed.

LNS is legally binding on all parties and the SPL/SPFL have no right of appeal.

This is just lip service to satisfy the foaming at the mouth brigade and after a few weeks they'll probably issue a statement saying something along the lines of what the SFA said.

Rangers will keep quite on the matter as the club has probably already been told that SPFL need to go thought the motions again and what the outcome will be.

I fail to see anything other that this is a good thing for the club as we attempt to regain the ground that was lost over the last few years. I think there will be some noise about the EBT's etc from lawell and others now - but as others have said, they are paying lip service to it to appease savcos supporters.

If this is all true, its quite an insight into how the people on the board of these clubs view their respective supporters. We are there to be appeased, while they become millionaires.

Meh. Lawwell stepped down from it and went somewhere else which will no doubt be pulling the strings in Scottish football.

There's no way he steps down from a position of power, and allows us to replace him if he isn't going on to a more powerful position

Or an other agenda .Maybe just not an obvious one

He is 10!steps ahead of any of our muppets

Good that he is on the board . It's far better we are represented on these boards than not. At least there we can have some input. Hope Budge has been elected as well. She fights Hearts corner as you would expect but does not seem to have any agenda against us , unlike a lot of others
