What a fat greedy cunt. Abuse of power and the slob won't be getting any more of my custom. If his tickets are being sourced by illicit means then he needs to be censured by the club. Haven't read all the posts but if the SLO is compliant in this then get him out. Cunts lining their own pockets off the back of hard working bears. Scumbags.

Is he now actually saying its all just a plan to show up the faults of the current system?

I won’t name him but a prominent poster phoned me earlier tonight and called that hours in advance as everyone was getting suckered in by his bullshit and that Marshall is happy to make an arse of himself/risk his business to prove a point - he’s totally correct with that call.

If you re-read it all back from that point of view it’s obvious he’s trolling and changing his story a few times from saying 2k members to he was joking about that figure to we will work hard and who knows we might get 2k

The final straw for me was when he was saying he’d lose 3k a year from it ... bullshit ... aside from the pub being full and members turning up at the special events to buy drink all day or night, he’s said members would get discounted travel costs - note not free travel... biggest outlay is coach hire to away games but clearly he would have been operating a members and non members pricing structure for travelling (which is fine) but there’s no way he’d be making a 3k loss per year unless he literally only had 10 guys on a coach going to away games and assuming he never done any fundraisers like race nights, raffles, Dances or cards.

The man is a fucking balloon in all honesty and I hope his fishing trip hinders his livelihood

it doesn’t explain SLO Greg trying to clarify and essentially back the RSC at the start of the FF thread though - either he’s in on the fishing trip and as such undermining Rangers FC ticketing policies on a large scale making his position untenable or his Dads lied to him ... the Marshalls have documented previous for lying so it wouldn’t surprise me.

@K.A.I Why do this either way though? The man is not a friend of supporters or RSC or the members of RSC he has no valid reason for his proposal when questioned. and rightly so by those who run buses and spend THEIR TIME. outwith family and work. scrabbling around on behalf of the members of the RSC they represent. It is truly astonishing that RM is allowed to try to exploit his sons position and something that needs to be addressed by RFC.

He’s just a twisted big bastard mate - it would have made logical sense in his head but it may have bit him in the arse in spectacular fashion.

Ive loads of stories involving him from through the years, nothing surprises me with him.

Get the stories shared. he has no problem it seems asking others to share information when it suits his, and only his needs. I have never been knowingly in his company but he seems a right prick from all who have spoken of him, the thing that amazed me and pleased me was that FF allowed the people who run buses and so on to question him, I was astounded as normally when you are in the FF club you are allowed or so it seems to propose or demand action without answer.

I don't have inside knowledge or contacts in the know regarding Marshall, but have read a good few derogatory stories about the man. Thing is I've had many a good time in the Louden and as well as pre-match experiences have also done the guest player thing. Enjoyed it all and would happily do more,  but I'm not going to support someone who is basically robbing tickets off legitimate RSC's and Bears.

This man's self-righteousness known no bounds. The grassing up bears thing from not so long ago was a ridiculous thing for him to say but was basically laughed off as him being an idiot. This ticket scam (for that is what it is) is a kick in the balls for every bear who supports the club, for every RSC and every CCC member. Him and his family, associates, and business ventures need to be kept far from anything officially Rangers.

Your last part is spot on, will it happen? No but those who run buses and RSC need to come together and speak to the SLO and voice the opinions of the loyal fans they represent. We are rightly proud of our away supporters and the RSC they are members of, sure we alll have picked up a spare brief from time to time but what he is suggesting and so forth is completley opposite to the way the overwhelming majority feel in regards RSC membership and generally the fans.

I will sum up. he gets called out and has no valid opinion or answer to ant question. he then says final answer, much like you or me say to the wife/GF final beer and then answers afterwards. Got to say I enjoyed the unusual FF method of not binning this and allowing people to challenge RM.

I think the word "loyalty" is critical to the wider debate & I noticed in the FF thread an earlier poster ICM highlghted:

Quote

"RSCs, for a long time, have been an important pillar of the Rangers support and it's culture"

I think I'd probably take that a stage further and suggest they are an irreplaceable cog in the Rangers community and have been the very lifeblood of our club for many years now. For those of us living outwith the Glasgow area they provide an essential service of networking, socialising and bringing together of like minded people in an often alien environment. For so many, the local RSC offers so much more than just transport to Rangers games on any given Saturday.

I find it heartbreaking to hear that yet another RSC has folded because Im acutely aware of the wider connotations for Rangers suporters in that community; because their loss is far greater than just logistical transport to matches.

Rather than squabble over the scraps off the master's table - RSC's should be at the very forefront of any future ideas the club has regarding allocation of tickets, and if anything, the club should be encouraging supporters to join their local RSC for the many benefits it provides - including ticket allocations.

Loyalty ought to be rewarded, whether you travel on an RSC bus or not, and those who dont should not be prejudiced as their loyalty is no less. Those who attend week in week out should reap the benefits of that loyalty, end of story. Nonetheless I would encourage all travelling bears to consider supporting their local RSC - you will not regret it.

With the rise of CCS its always going to be a difficult act to juggle - but Rangers have to encourage the appeal and benefits of the local RSC to ensure their longevity and survival.

If allocations are going to be cut - perhaps the club should start looking at the allocations of VIP tickets - so that those who eat, sleep and breathe Rangers are not denied a ticket in favour of those with merely a casual interest.

I don’t think he has been trolling at all.

Reading his posts in that thread and others I don’t think he has the capability to actually make up a fishing trip like that. You just have to visit his bar and see how he acts with a mic to see he genuinely places himself above most other supporters

No trolling his plan has backfired, completely misjudged how strongly we feel about our RSCs especially staying outside Glasgow they help and majority are like a family

Listen i hate to say this but the guys a tosser. He gets cheeky to fans over the mic and also has to many bouncers who act like you are in a nightclub.

I used to drink in his old pub at paisley rd west. Was great at one point but wouldnt trust the guy. I am all for Rangers pubs the more the better so me saying this a dnt feel good but im just been honest.

Dnt know if tht harsh what i have said as the more Rangers pubs the better.

Speaking as a leading expert on fishing trips, his attempt really was woeful

Heard that there are changes being considered to the allocation of away tickets to RSCs, possibly altering the current A+, A etc grading system. If true wouldn’t be surprised if it’s related to this.
