Wallace gets abuse from some saying that he stayed for selfish reasons while we abuse those that left for acting selfishly.

Some people can’t win

Doesnt matter if some people think he isnt a legend. Truth is he is and there really isnt a debate on it. He done more for us than most. He never walked away like the rest of them when he could have done. Some have short memories of the absolute less we were in.

I think its fucking shocking how disrespectful some people act towards Lee Wallace. Nobody has ever pretended that he's ever been a star player for us or could've went on to play high level Premier League football. And even if you're critical of his playing performances - which most definitely deteriorated over the last couple of years - the very least you should admit is that he loves Rangers Football Club sincerely. Attempts to play down his contributions solely because we were in the lower divisions is a disgrace, it really is.

Whenever the argument arises, it always turns personal and the abuse he gets would make you think he'd spat on the crest. It's a joke.

He deserved that fantastic reception yesterday and if the time comes for him to leave in the summer he will always be considered a legend by me.

Kelty Hearts.

The two no’s are considered legends, why can’t Wallace be?

Maybe because they were very talented, played well at very high levels, lots of international caps and were winners, unlike a player who only really starred in division 1 and 2 in Scotland against part timers.

....and we've missed his over-lapping and runs at defences imo.

In footballing terms it’s not

If you're talking about actual ability then there should be no legends from decades ago since modern footballers are generally physically and technically better.

Did you see him playing against part timers and plumbers?

he got found out on more than one occasion.

Bang average football players don’t become football legends.

I would have him ahead of Jon Flannagan although he's been decent last few games but give him a wee run in the last few games to assess how he gets on.

Vs Hibs and the tarriers? No ta. Thank him for his service but he’s finished here.

Ronald De Boer isn’t a Rangers legend, yet he comes under all that.

He’s not a football legend, just a Rangers one.

Aye that's right that Henderson couldn't beat a fullback and as for that Baxter his passing was just rubbish. Modern players might be fitter and have better equipment but ability is something you are born with.

If you put them as is into the modern game they'd struggle, doubt either would get into our first team tbh.

Anyway my point was legend status is about more than just ability. Both those players you mentioned are obviously legends.

Wallace is a legend for sticking with the club through the dark years despite the negative impact it had on his career.

Both would be superstars now. Doubt if modern players would last in the sixties with crap pitches, real tackling, heavy footballs, heavy duty boots.

Congratulations on missing the context. The education system really let both of you down. Ignorance must be bliss.
