Football is officially mental, as money shows.

There’s better examples of football being mental than Ramsey going to Juve, he’s a good player.

Works out at something like £140,000 a week which isn’t too excessive when you consider that Alex Pritchard is rumoured to be getting £110,000 a week from Huddersfield.

Seems no EPL club thought him worth  it, another Arsenal wannabe reject.

Sure the £140k a week is after tax isn't it? So £280k a week. Amount of money they're saving on the transfer fee will back that up though. Still a ridiculous amount to earn. Give it 10 years and the money bubble will burst and salary caps will be brought in around the continent.

Then you will see the US and Asian leagues growing in stature as the money begins to drag talent away? I think we would need global agreement

He’s been there 10 years, his contract was withdrawn due to him nobody else

of course it was, there again...maybe not..

Raul Sanllehi claims the decision to withdraw the contract offer made to Aaron Ramsey was due to a ‘gathering of strategies’, Arsenal stunned their fans when Ramsey confirmed the club had halted contract talks and revoked the offer made to the midfielder to extend his deal.

He wanted more money, the same amount as Ozil apparently, which he is entitled to.

It sounds ludicrous but it's actually a pretty decent deal for everyone bar Arsenal. Ramsey will clearly be delighted however at 28, Ramsey, providing he stays injury free could yet reach another level. He could be entering his best years. At his age and if he wasn't on a free he could arguably command a fee higher than 36million plus wages.

Good player, underrated.

Should have been kept, Arsenal in another shocker of letting players leave for fuck all/little due to leaving everything to the last season.

After Bale and Kane, Ramsey is the next best British footballer. Anyone who thinks he’s not a top player doesn’t know anything about football.

He will do well at Juventus.

Arsenal chased him.

Emery can’t afford any decent transfers because they can’t pay big wages - that’s basically why the contract offer was withdrawn.

They should have tried to offload Ozil and gave Ramsey a new deal instead.

Ridiculous how much wages are being wasted every week on utter shite like Elneny and Xhaka.

Should build a team around Ramsey rather than letting him go.

Must be a few EPL managers who know nothing   about the game, as their interest in ramsey waned and died.
