In 1888 they were “open to all” Hibernian players willing to accept a bung from Glasgow’s Irish Catholic businessmen.

Takes a junkie to know one..... You had your fifteen minutes of fame. Now you come across as desperate. So many brilliant writers have left you in your wake. You know nothing about football or Glasgow for that matter.

Protestant leanings****but I prefer identity rather than leanings

Was a subtle  joke, usually those who call us sectarian are the most rabid and high profile sectarian cunts around.

What's so bad about sectarianism anyway, it worked for the Greeks, Romans, and the British, Spanish and French colonialists, also Genghis Khan, Lenin and Chairman Mao.  Even the Third Reich was doing well till they caught a cold in the Russian winter. :pipe:

Liar and scumbag. Typical hivs supporter.

Irvine Welsh was born in Leith, the port area of the Scottish capital Edinburgh. He states that he was born in 1958, though, according to the Glasgow police, his birth record is dated around 1951

He left Edinburgh for the London punk scene in 1978, where he played guitar and sang in The Pubic Lice and Stairway 13, the latter a reference to the Ibrox disaster. A series of arrests for petty crimes and finally a suspended sentence for trashing a North London community centre

etc.

Lifted from a bio piece:

What the fuck has Rangers and the scum got to do with his book launch in America?

What brought the subject currently doing the rounds in Scotland to the book launch .... how can any of this overblown out of proportion subject be in any way connected to his book launch?

Did he take the Scottish Hack-Pack over to America .... just so that they could continue their vendetta over there?

What the fuck has happened to the world of football .... when two relative nonentities .... who support two irrelevant football teams .... make such a big song and dance about a 30 second chant at a highly charged football match?

They should really just listen to the words of the song .... Cheer The Fuck Up .... and stop being such pussies.
