  1. Think folk are reading far too much into this. The club may have preferred putting the UB in the Copland but said this would only happen if those in CR1 agreed. They didn't so it obviously won't happen. I agree with having both TBO and UB in the traditional Rangers end so hopefully something can be worked out.
  2. Think wee Willie spoke for the majority of Rangers supporters. Hopefully McCoist takes it on board.
  3. They will get a chance under the management team and hopefully they grab it with both hands. If I was any of the young players I would be making sure I was in as good a shape as possible so when pre-season training starts I could hit the ground running.
  4. Foster was bloody awful but there are plenty of other players over the last decade who have been worse than he was.
  5. Posh Spice is a hooker, she needs to find a waxer and when she's shagging Beckham she thinks of Jimmy Baxter.
  6. Posh Spice is a hooker, she likes a bit of action and when she's shagging Beckham she thinks of Colin Jackson.
  7. We have to give Warburton the chance to bring his own players. I don't expect all of his signings to be outstanding but if he gets more right than wrong then we should get promotion without any problem.
  8. If he wins the title and gets us playing an exciting brand of football after his contract is finished then good luck to him. If Warburton lays the foundations for the club by having a clear vision, attacking football, a excellent scouting system and developing youth players then he will have done his job and then some.
  9. Spot on regarding that unbeaten season. The league was won by about October and it was an ideal time to keep blooding the youngsters. There was not one Rangers fan I met at the end of that season who was delighted with what they saw that season or mentioned how proud we were at going unbeaten against a bunch of part-time teams. McCoist should have went after the Raith debacle in any case.
  10. Winning the league with an attractive brand of football would do for me. After the last 4 years I just want to see some decent football at Ibrox for a change. Hopefully Warburton puts an end to the usual pattern of going 1 or 2-0 up and then sitting back and allowing the opposition all the possession and we end up hanging on.
  11. He will get his chance under Warburton but if he doesn't perform he will be shipped out - simple as that. With the management team already stating they want to keep a small squad then they certainly won't be carrying any passengers.
  12. Hopefully young Ryan Sinnamon gets the chance to prove himself at right back.
  13. Great to be taking a break from all the off-field nonsense and getting back to actually talking about potential signings, our style of play and how our young players will flourish under the new management. Hope this positivity continues for a long time to come.
  14. I think Walsh as well. It's a great chance as well for the likes of McKay, Gasparotto and Ryan Sinnamon to prove they have what it takes to make it at Rangers.
  15. I'm really excited to see how the likes of Walsh, Murdoch and Hardie are going to develop under the new management team. I hope those three and the other youngsters at the club realise that this is a clean slate and grab their opportunity with both hands. If I was them I would be starting their pre-season early to make sure they hit the ground running when pre-season training starts in a couple of weeks. Absolutely buzzing for the start of the season now.
  16. This summer is the biggest since Souness arrived. We need to totally revamp the club and get it on the road to recovery. I appreciate the work McCall has done for Rangers, both as a player and as a manager for the last few months. There is no doubt that he improved the performances but there is no room for sentiment in this decision. I want King to get the best man for the job and not the cheap option. I believe Mark Warburton is the guy to take us forward over the past two or three seasons.
  17. I think Le Guen underestimated the Scottish game although the Monster Munch Brigade certainly didn't help matters. I don't think that will be the case with Warburton and Weir. Having a Rangers legend, and former captain who won plenty of trophies, there should get them instant respect and with a new manager coming in with his own ideas I would hope that the players, in particular the youngsters, will embrace that.
  18. I expected King would speak to McCall out of courtesy if nothing else. Would be disappointed if he got the job over Warburton right enough.
  19. Three-quarters of Scotland's top-flight clubs told a BBC Scotland survey they would consider summer football. Nine of the 12 Premiership teams were among the 27 of the country's 42 senior clubs who said they would be in favour of examining the possibility. Only seven clubs said such a move would not interest them, with eight not offering a view. The Scottish Professional Football League says it is open to debate on "a complex matter". Since the BBC conducted the survey, Motherwell have been in touch to say they too are in favour of examining a switch to summer football. It means that 10 of 12 Premiership clubs and 28 - two-thirds - of all 42 clubs now back such a move. The questions posed to all clubs were: Are you in favour of considering a move to summer football? What would you consider to be the strongest arguments in favour of such a move or retaining the status quo? While no strict definition was applied to the term "summer football" and several clubs expressed interest in different dates, the overall response indicates an appetite for change. Not all clubs wanted their stance on the matter to be made public, but Dundee United, Hamilton, Kilmarnock and St Johnstone were among nine top-flight clubs keen to examine the issue further. Wouldn't mind starting the season earlier in July and having a winter break in January after the Boxing Day or January 1st games but still not keen on the whole summer football idea.
  20. Record say he's talking to Fulham while the Daily Mail are saying he's held talks with King and is set to be unveiled next week. What that says to me is that the papers are scrambling around for a new slant on the story as nothing has been leaked over the past couple of days.
  21. Didn't my season ticket last year but I will be renewing this season.
  22. Walsh, Murdoch and Hardie have been the only positives in this utterly awful season.
  23. By this time the board must have their scouting network in place, they must have their manager in place as soon as possible and they must overhaul the entire structure of the club - and it has to be done in the space of eight weeks. If we get it right then maybe another season in the Championship will have been for the best but if we fail I shudder to think when we will get back to where we belong.
