Thought Dean Shiels had an excellent game for us today. Not a massive Shiels fan but thought he kept the game flowing and took his goal well.

His two goals against Leverkusen were outstanding. He did well for us in Advocaats first season.

I took my girlfriend at the time to.a League Cup game a few years ago. It was a pain in the arse. Her first question was why were there no people describing the game like they do on the telly. My current missus has said she wants to go to a game as we started going out when McCoist was in charge and usually when I came in from the game I was usually in a foul mood.

A train strike happened when we were going to Seville so had to get a two hour bus journey up from Malaga. The day after the game me and my mate jumped in a taxi and said to the driver to take us to the bus station. He didn't speak English, we didn't speak Spanish so he took us to the train station. We missed our bus and getting a train would meant we would have missed our flight. Thankfully we met two guys from Larkhall who were in the sane situation and we had had to fork 80 Euros each for a taxi down to Malaga Airport.

Disappointed in this. McCoist was crucified for consistently doing this.

He made a difference when he came on last night. I'm not his biggest fan but he deserves to start this weekend.

I didn't think Oduwa had a great game. Thought he dallied on the ball at times rather than keeping the ball moving. Wasn't Zelalems best game either but all young players have good and bad games. These things happen.

Dumbarton have had the best chances but if we had got that penalty in the first minute it would have been a different story.

Expect a couple of changes for this one. Going for 5-1 as always.

I would imagine that Warburton would have a big say on any Sporting Director appointment so when we eventually do get one I'm sure he will be a good one. Also very interesting about what he said regarding the youth academy and linking up with local schools. Another positive.

We haven't had a winger who could cross the ball better than wee McCann since he left. He kept big Albertz out of the team for spells which shows how good a player he was. Still maintain the midfield of Reyna, Barry, Gio and McCann is the best midfield I've seen in my time watching Rangers. Apart from the Celtic game when he scored that double another game where he was outstanding was the Dunfermline game where he won the title. He came on at half time and made such a difference.

I miss European nights and European away trips more than the Old Firm games. We must be back in Europe as soon as possible.

Thought it was the big man's best performance in a Rangers jersey today. I know it was only Livingston but he seems to be growing game by game.
