Was in the Sauchiehall St branch yesterday - the Rangers kit used to be the first merchandise you saw on the left going down into the store - now tucked away in the far left corner - and more worryingly the first strip you see in the distance on the back wall is a "hooped forces of darkness strip". The JJB brand seems to be dying a slow death (you can see it from the poor state of the shops - poor merchadising, displays etc) - looking at it from purely a customer's point of view. I realise we are tied into the deal - but there has to be a better way to promote the brand. Since the dedicated JJB Rangers shop in Argyle St closed - the remaining 2 JJB stores (excluding the Stadium one) are sub surface (ie below street level) - so they don't really have a window display - how can you effectively promote a brand when shoppers don't see the mechandise when walking past!! It baffles me that the club don't bring more pressure on JJB (although maybe they don't want to and to see JJB fail) I know little about the deal with JJB - but as I said above - from a customer's point of view - it is clearly not working - and saddens me to see our strip marketed in the way it is being done now!!!
