Amoruso was able to carry off the role with class and had the dignity of carrying on when stripped of the captaincy. If someone like that with no ties to the club can do it then Ferguson has no excuses. Captaining Rangers is an honour and Ferguson has perhaps been spoilt by getting the position so young when the likes of Numan and Albertz were there and better candidates.
He certainly did and although he wasn't brought up a Rangers fan there was no doubt that Amoruso loved the club deeply. He conducted himself impeccably after the way he was treated by Advocaat.
