  1. I will say it again; a laughing stock in the Austrian league and 5 goals in a season, 1 less than Sionko.
  2. Very poor overrated full back but had a good half season in midfield, no loss.
  3. we missed out there hes really good He or his agent was not interested in Rangers and did not respond to our advances.
  4. Fantastic memories of the old firm games where his skill stood out and I can think of 3 of the present first team who are far slower than he was.
  5. Well if u were in line with him then think u seen different things that a did a was in the Enclosure and it was actually the ref who made the decision, the linesman never indicated with raising his flag or waving about and when the ref came over to the side he had already sent him off and the linesman indicated the Hapoel player dived!! As for the footage the Hapoel player has punted the ball straight at MacGregor and missed him they then run in to each others chest and hes down holding his face, the footage was on the BBC news and the camera was rite up the back of the Broomloan it is hard to make out what happened with the chest to chest but to me there was no headbutt at all!! Hapoel great set of supporters and very passionate shame about there players cheatin scum and there conduct over both legs was disgraceful I was in line with the linesman too and would agree with rfc72, there was no head butt but McGregor stupidly went chest to chest with the scumbag who collapsed in a heap holding his head. The linesman did not try to attract the referees attention and I assumed the ref thought he had seen a butt from his angle or the 4th official had had communicated with the ref. The ref ran to the linesman to usher Hemdani away.
  6. Adam played at left back against Zenit and was abysmal, not his position and his lack of mobility was badly exposed. I don't rate Murray as a full back for his lack of pace and mobility either and if the situation ever arose I would play Kinninburgh at left back where he has done for the reserves.
  7. I'm no fan of Smith and I think he is wary of bringing youngsters through but there was abbsolutely no need of that shite regarding Catholics. If you can confirm other, then thats fine by me but can you give me any other reason. If hes not good enough then letizi should not have been released, Smith has no problem giving other outfield youngsters a try. You don't make someone that they are not good enough even when someone is injured i front of you then expect him to come in and do a job for you. If I can confirm what? Are you seriously suggesting that it's because of his religion? Don't know, but I have heard that he is old school, be interesting to see which others similar have played under him. Strange how Robinson seems to of been previously regarded highly and now not even good enough for the bench when the only option is a partially fit keeper who finishes his carrer in 3 months. Its already been mentioned that he struggled. Why embarrass Klos by playing him partially fit when he has been superb while playing fully fit. people have short memories I think you are barking TBO and that is an uncalled for slander on Smith. BTW...what religion is Klos? Its not Slander just an opinion, Whats happened to freedom of Speech. Just look back at discussions when Robinson came off the bench against hearts. People alledgedly left early in disgust because he blessed himself if I remember correctly. Ok Smith wasn't one of them but theres plenty around. THOUSANDS LEAVE EARLY EVERY WEEK.!!!
  8. The main difference ins in Europe: a- We seem to be up for it. b- We play at a far higher tempo. C- We have less high balls to defend so the crowd don't panic as much. I prefer a 4-3-3 system with 3 flexible forwards and no one tied to a wide position. Last night seemed to be almost a 4-2-3-1 with Barry playing off Boyd to a large extent. Whatever it was it worked, the most enjoyable game for about a year.
  9. His kicking has ALWAYS been rotten, but it was exceptionally bad last night. He should be practicing it every day in training if they arent up to standard, thats what he's getting 30k a week for. Remember him playing against us for Dortmund, getting jeered for his attempts to kick backpasses and bye kicks,in his years here he never improved and with his extended lay offs things have got worse.
  10. Gave Burke his 8 for entertainment value, his contribution to the team was, in my opinion, less than that of Weir and Hemdani. He still offers little in the way of an end product and lost possession a number of times by trying stupid showboating and was on the end of several earbashings from ALLY. Ferguson was still sprinting to close down the opposition at 95 minute and still willing to attack, I thought his display as a footballer was perfect.
  11. Ratings from tonights game: McGregor - 6 - didn't have anything to do, travesty to be sent off. Hutton - 8 - solid in defence and always willing to attack. Weir - 9 - immense, nice to have such a calm head in defence. Hemdani - 9 - immense, fantastic reading of the game and always picks the right pass. Murray - 6 - still beaten too easily for pace and movement. Burke - 8 - great runs, got the crowd going and actually played for the team rather then himself. Thomson - 7 - settled in well after a quiet first half, promising and keen to support going forward. Ferguson - 10 - Captain Fantastic - still closing down after 95 minutes and encouraging others to do the same. Great positioing for both goals. championee Novo - 8 - set up first goal. Looked much more comfortable on the right but always willing. Fantastic chasing down and tracking back including some great tackles. Boyd - 7 - offered much more than previously in terms of running but still needs to work on movement to support his team mates. Rae - 7 - much better than first feared. Actually kept up pace with the game most of the time - unlucky with a superb volley. Could n't believe this was the same player that I have been criticisng for so long. Prso - 6 - offered so much when he came on and led their defenders a merry dance. Shame about his finishing... Klos - 2 - will really need to practice his kicking - I'd forgotten how bad it was. Adam - 4 - only had two touches of the ball and scored with both - preferred the one in the first half though.
  12. 1-0 to us, Burke cross takes a wicked deflection off Novo's heel. (beer2)
  13. MUST play at a fast tempo and not just until we score. MUST play the ball on the ground, Boyd won nothing in the air last week and Novo and Burke don't win much in the MUST not concede stupid free kicks around the box. MUST win by 2 clear goals. MUST get ready to go to Ibrox.
  14. Steven Kinniburghs a left winger its his brother William at motherwell whos a defender, personally I think Hemdani and Weir should be able to cope with what looked like a pretty lightweight Hapoel attack and their experience could be vital I have seen young Kinningburgh play for the reserves at left back and Jordan McMillan at right back, both seemed competent. The central defenders in the reserves are Ponroy, who always goes off injured and Campbell and I would not risk playing either in the first team no matter which compeition.
  15. I had a conversation with an ex player who was a youth coach at Rangers some years ago when the spl were bringing in the ill fated under 21 league. He maintained it would be a waste of time and would not last as " if a player has not shown he could play in the first team by the time he was 18 or 19 he wil not play much of a part at Ibrox and will be moved on" The one he tipped at the time to make it was Boyack! Look at the young players who have left the club in the last year and you will see this is still the case: central defenders McKenzie and McLean, Midfielders McCormack, N'Guession, Gilmour, forwards Carcary, Davidson, going back a couple of years there were Duffy and McLean who scored loads in the reserves. There is little chance for youngsters to progress, whether it is due to the set up, scouting, selection of talent or just the fact that we want immediate success and are not prepared to gamble on youth.
  16. I agree that any youngster would be better than Rae and Sionko, even although the youngsters who have excelled at under 19 level have not done so well in the reserve team. Rae especially and Sionko rarely get anywhere near ball or opponent and I find it hard to understand why we persist with these two and Sebo.
  17. Exactly! Its all very well to say we should create more atmosphere but when the players don't seem to interested in playing it is difficult to get involved . On saturday the team virtually played at walking pace and rarely seemed to want the ball. The first half seemed like an eternity and a guy 2 rows in front left at 41 minutes to go to the pub. Looking around there were many people reading programmes or having conversations on mobiles which shows how detached the crowd have become. Unless the team start to play at a decent tempo, which we have to do as our passing and movement is not as good as teams like Falkirk, St Mirren etc, we may have to open a library in the concourses to keep people in the stadium.
  18. Since I live in Falkirk and you live elsewhere I am guessing I have the advantage in being able to see slightly more Falkirk games and, as I said in an earlier post until Rangers showed an interest, Falkirk fans would have been happy to get £50,000 for Gow especially in October, November.
  19. That's such a stupid asumption to make that I am not even going to bother addressing it any furthur. Anyway, if there is to be money available in the summer I would prefer SDM to not tell the media how much there is to spend. Yes it will make a large section of our support feel so much better for the rest of the season, but it just means that we could end up paying over the odds for players who might not make that much of a difference over the following two seasons to justify their price tag. As soon as we spend about 2 million on a player who's true value might only be 1 million our expectations for him will dramatically increase, when truth be told he might not have the ability to match his price tag and then we will ultimately turn on him and brand him as not being RFC standard. Unless our standard is to finish n mid table, Fish is spot on.
  20. Not at all impressed in the first half when he got absolutely no change out of Hutton. In the second half when Falkirk targeted Murray as the weak link and Gow changed position he did look a lot better but hardly worth getting excited about.
  21. Has been playing for Ado Den Haag in Holland since he left us, this season will be his last season playing. Wonderful player, so unlucky to have had the injury problem that restricted his career.
  22. Never thought the Prso /Boyd combination worked, just like it never worked with Prso and Buffel on at the same time. Prso/ Novo works but if Boyd is up frontin then it would be better with Novo and Prso playing the roaming roles in a 4-3-3 and no Burke.
  23. Sebo cannot link with himself for gods sake so how could he link with any striker? We have seen the evidence!!!! Yes he has pace but since he never looks up when he has the ball and has absolutely no idea of runs or positioning and has a tendency to fall over I would suggest a regular start in the reserves or as a substitute for Broxi would give us a better return.
  24. We tried that against Zenit, Partizan and St Johnstone and the longer he was on the worse he got, if that could happen. He was not a success in Austria and I think our league is a higher standard so I don't expect anything from him apart from the embarrassment he has given us so far.
  25. I think that's untrue. Just because a few of us moan on a message board doesn't mean 'we are one of the worst supports in the world'. I think our support has been magnificent this season. They have turned up in their droves despite being served up some dross. Contrast that with some of the BPL teams who despite playing in one of the top leagues in the world are unable to sell out their stadiums. Our support have not booed the team as far as I'm aware and where very patient with PLG right up until the end. Much more so than many other clubs supporters would have been IMO. We were rubbish the other night and I will come on a forum and say so, it's just letting off steam really. If I were there I would never boo the team and I think that applies to most Bears. If we have the type of player that is so lilly livered that seeing some criticism on a web forum is going to destroy his confidence then I would suggest they don't read them or they find another club. What we need are the kind of men who will be spurred on by any criticism of theirs or the team's performance to prove people wrong not shrinking violets. First class post, we care about our team( probably too much) and the forum gives release to our frustration. If we are at all honest there are many reasons to criticise our squad at the moment but I certainly would not boo them on the park but reserve the right to voice my opinion of some players failings, whether due to form, ability or effort.
