From "Beleaguered board" to "one insider said" to "one member said" not forgetting "due to what they claim to be" the Daily Record is earning its thirty pieces of silver from DK. The media whores will be happy with this latest attack on the board, how long will it take (If ever) before they realize they're being used to do the dirty work of others.?

It was Ahmeds lawyer who mentioned the 2,000 figure not ours.(our lawyer shook his head at this claim) There was also no mention of how many they expected to sell unless someone can provide a link to this.
The importance of season ticket money cannot be emphasized enough, it allows the club to trade whilst no games are taking place plus it enables budgets to be set safe in the knowledge that the monies are guaranteed, The damage certain individuals are doing should neither be forgotten nor forgiven.

True but look at the mess that got us into as we pissed away our money on expensive flops whilst only focusing on the short term. However at no stage in our history has there been a better opportunity for youth players to get a chance and for us to develop a long term strategy....missing that chance and losing talents like telfer is a disgrace.

Can't think what other keeper & Right-back could have played at the start of this season.
Gasparotto got a few games at the end of the season (not enough imo)
Walsh has been hampered by injuries so can't say he deserves more game time.
Hard to judge players when played out of position (think Kris Boyd on the left-wing for instance)
Agree re BMK but not his fault he was over-hyped, worth keeping imo.
Sinnamon has been playing left-back owing to the total lack of any left-footed players at U20s but has impressed anytime i've seen him and given Fosters erratic performances is due a start.
Off to watch White Sox v Cubs so will continue tomorrow

Ally deemed the likes of Shiels, foster, black , Smith, Daly all essential for progressing up the leagues. He was backed by the then CEO who he chummed up to until said CEO quite rightly criticized performances and our poor cup record.
Now if Ally has any sort of foresight and long term strategy I.e start small and build our resources up gradually to meet the demands of a higher level then maybe we wouldn't need to sell some of the genuine asserts we do possess.
This was all predicted by journalists and fans alike at the time. There is a role at Rangers for life for Ally and that is to be the face of our club. But his limitations as a manager about to exposed and he has played a huge part in contributing to this.
Instead of his 'number 1 priority' being 'protecting his job and his staff' he should have operated to the level he was at. If he had any confidence in his own ability he could have said to the fans we are developing out youth and asked for patience. He would have been given it.
We are steamrolling this league by 'grinding' PT teams down with our fitness which the coaching staff admit.
We are going to be in a terrible state when we go back up I have always felt this. Next season is far from a given. Surely we can rip up the contracts of half our duds and keep Lee? He will be a massive loss.

If sold, a dose of reality for some I think.
There is no need for us to be in this position, its a result of financial mis-management of the highest order I'm afraid.

As soon as the 15% pay cuts were made public it ensured that any bids for our players would be lower than normal. It sent out a message that we are desperate for an immediate cash injection.
No matter what we think LW is worth i'm afraid he's only worth what someone is willing to pay.
We now have a player who doesn't want to leave but a club who obviously want to sell.
Certain people have lined their (and their friends) pockets in the past 18 months and this is the result.
    When will we learn ?.

Pretty obvious that our base costs were too high a long time ago tbh.
Why was AMC was allowed to bring so many players to the club from the outset, on wages that were more than every other club in Scotland bar one.
Salaries - Pay offs Bonuses - for non-playing employees were also way out of line with our current position.
Missed a once in a lifetime opportunity to start afresh imo.

Excellent cover Frankie, look forward to receiving my copy, you have excelled with your choice of the two foreward writers.to entice a legend who is held in the highest regard by all those who know him and who has defended our club as well as being informative and entertaining throughout the years is much appreciated. Oh and Walters not too bad either

Whether you agree or not, the TRS tries very hard to provide balanced comment on the events at Rangers (and elsewhere). As one of the authors of the new book, I can honestly say that every one of the TRS contributors has worked hard to give a comprehensive, unbiased account of the last 16 months, but people should understand that each contributor has his/her own perspective on the many issues that have arisen. Some have criticised TRS for it's alleged opposition to Green - that's simply not true. I for one have published many articles on RM and TRS which have been overtly supportive of Charles Green. His contribution to the club has been immense. Like RM, TRS is a 'broad church' with many differing views, but it strives at all times to support Rangers and provide thoughtful and balanced opinions - but they are personal opinions nevertheless.I can CONFIRM that all of the proceeds from the book will go to charity. We were all canvassed on that very point, and each of us was happy to donate the income from the book to charity. I'm not sure which charity (or charities) will benefit, although I'm aware that thought is being given to the Rangers nominated charities.Buy the book; read it with an open mind and enjoy it. No, you won't agree with all that is written, but I suspect you'll conclude that it is a significant contribution to the Rangers story.

But more than half the posters in here recognise we're going nowhere under the current management. Demoted and no pressure of having to keep up with the mhanks and playing against p-time opposition, McCoist had the ideal opportunity to change our club for the better forever, Bring thro young hungry players, quick passing, movement, develop a playing style that was attractive for fans to watch and avoid trying to buy our way back to the top. What we have been served up for 2 years is utter shite and unacceptable.
If we'd been playing good football, top of our league but went to today's game and were beaten by a better team then we'd all accept it was still a long way to go but most KNEW what was coming today. This has been building for months. There has been NO progress since the Peterhead game. Even last year I was so disappointed with his (and his coaching staff) failure to motivate our players for the first game at Ibrox after admin. The place was packed for the game against Kilmarnock and yet again we flopped. Our fans don't deserve this garbage.

Its not just the results away from home, its the actual performances that are concerning. The lack of a coherent game plan coupled with the age old problem of playing players out of position, add to that basic errors in passing ie-the weight of a pass-decision making in all areas of the park.
We need to impose ourselves from the kick-off, playing the ball on the ground at a high tempo allowing our superior technique & fitness to prosper would bring more consistent results and performances.
Talk of "snatching wins and draws" againgst this level of opponents is not the attitude we should be adopting, nothing wrong in showing teams respect in terms of how professionally we aproach the game, but we have appeared nervous and disjointed in each away fixture.
    Massive improvement required asap.

jcb reacted to StewGers in Why are we still singing about the UVF
I have never posted before, but felt i had to after the first couple of away games this season.
I cant get my head round why some fans are still singing about the UVF at Gers games. Dont get me wrong, most fans, including myself have sung these types of songs in the past but there is no place for them anymore.
This is the start of a new adventure for all Gers fans and we should take this opportunity to rid ourselves of certain songs that do us no favours and have nothing to do with Rangers in the 21st Century.
Quite simply, dont complain about what the media and certain journalists write about Rangers fans when some fans refuse to let go the stuff that is now simply irrelevant and you know they will pick up on.
We should be reading about the amazing suppport given to a team in the fourth tier of scottish football and fans who do themselves proud in the way they support their team and not about a small group who refuse to let go of the past.
