I would imagine that Lafferty will be away, aside from the fact that it appears that most senior players are on the way out, his falling out with Super meant that his days were probably numbered anyway. He will always go down as a nearly man, who despite his end of season heroics, never reached his potential.

Tbh, I'll be surprised now if any senior players other than Jig choose to stay, but as long as they are honest and up-front about their reasons for refusal then I will have no ill-feeling towards them

Following on from from the Gregory Ioannidis article. I was wondering, the fact we are a newco and that as well as the assets transferring, the oldco's "good-will", also transferred to the newco, which I believe includes history, titles etc as one of its main components. Now if Ioannidis is correct that the newco cannot be punished for the sins of the oldco the surely that means that If any titles are to be stripped it should be done to the oldco, however, since that transferred to the newco, then there are no longer any titles to strip? Perhaps a little too simple?

Also when Perisic and Jelavic came on for Croatia, there was a mix up with the names and instead of their names it came up with something like "Bogomaj Vita", which I presume is from a Polish template, meaning something like "Player On". However, clearly the commentators also had that name on their team-sheet as when Perisic went close in the second half, the commentator screamed, "shot by Vita"

This is the sort of pish that we were laughing at the argentinian league for last year where they frantically tried to restructure the leagues when River Plate were relegated.

Totally agree, have seen him on a number of occassions now and every time he has had to deal with tough issues and tough questions, not to mention some fairly rabid co-guests and has handled it all impeccably

I think the players are as much in the dark at the moment as we all are, probably been advised not to say anything until things become a little clearer

If it becomes obvious over the next few weeks that we are not going to get the required votes to stay in the SPL then we should be taking action before any vote is taken and looking to join Div.3. I can't countenance the idea of being forcibly relegated by a bunch of diddy clubs.
