  1. Desperately disappointed that I will not be able to attend due to work comittments. I will be there in spirit though. I reckon Sandy Jardine deserves a great deal of credit for taking on what appears to be the figurehead role in this. He has been heavily criticised by a great many of us over the years, particularly during his time in the Rangers PR Dept. Much of the criticism was justified, but to this Bear at least, he has MORE than redeemed himself. WATP !!
  2. You're right Madina, I got exactly the same reply from them, word for word.
  3. Sorry Admin, this is a double post. Can you delete this one please? Thanks.
  4. I, like many other Bears, have taken to emailing the various Sponsors of the SFA. My generic email is: "Sir, For many years I have been a very satisfied customer in respect of your company, and I would go as far to say that, in this regard, they are my products of choice. However, as a result of the Draconian action taken by The Scottish Football Association (SFA) against The Rangers Football Club, and as ****** are one of the SFA's main sponsors, I will in future be taking my business to another supplier, and shall continue to do this until ****** review and withdraw all sponsorship to the SFA." I have received a couple of basic replies promising to "look into it", but I have received the following reply from Ronald Kers of Muller/Wiseman Dairies, which I felt was worth putting up for all to read.. "Dear Willem Bear, I have received notes similar to yours from several other Rangers fans. I would like to respond to them personally. First of all, I am a massive football fan myself (although for transparency my favourite team is Ajax but this is because I am Dutch) and can sympathise with how you feel as a fan of the Glasgow Rangers when you see the turmoil surrounding the club. It all has nothing to do with the beautiful football game itself, which makes it even harder to accept. I sincerely do hope for all the fans, and of course the club itself, that they are able at some point to pick up the pieces and rebuild for the future. This is of course a matter fully in the hands of the club and the various stakeholders such as the SFA. Our company is not in this business and therefore can not get involved in this. In terms of your particular concern regarding sponsorship: Wiseman used to sponsor an SFA programme called Street Football, which had as its purpose giving children, especially some less priviliged, a chance to play the game. Thousands of children and young people benefited from this programme. This programme has finished however and I can therefore categorically say that we do not sponsor the SFA anymore. I hope that you will reconsider your choice of buying our products and of course I hope as well that Glasgow Rangers will overcome the hurdles it is facing today. Good luck Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Kind regards, Ronald Kers CEO Müller Dairy Shrewsbury Road, Market Drayton, Shropshire, TF9 3SQ Tel: +44 (0) 1630 692016 Mob: +44 (0) 7748984029 Müller Dairy – From the Heart of Shropshire

  6. This match was played on a "free" Saturday in March 1974, when Scottish Cup and FA Cup games were being played. Both Rangers and Man Utd had been knocked out earlier (Rangers 0 - 3 Dundee), and thought it would be a good idea to play a "friendly". As a young 18 year old Bear, I travelled down with three others the night before, and stayed at one of my mates aunts in Liverpool, before travelling the short distance to Manchester the next morning. I parked my wee grey Austin 1000 van in a multi-storey in Manchester city centre, and we all headed off to the game on foot. We got to Old Trafford at about 2pm, and noticed the Trafford Park Inn across the road from the ground was absolutely bursting with fellow Bears, and rocking to "Follow-Follow" and all the other tunes of glory. As we crossed the road, one bear was being arrested for heaving his right boot up the arse of some unfortunate Manc, whilst pleading his innocence to the arresting officer saying "C'mon officer, it's only a f*$king FRIENDLY !" When we got into the ground, and whilst the Rangers team were out on the pitch still suited up, one a few Mancs ran on to the park from the Stretford End, and invited the away support to come on down and "exchange addresses". We have NEVER been a support that "DOES WALKING AWAY" so the invitation was accepted, and hundreds of Bears entered the fray, and ultimately took up residence in the Stretford End for the rest of the day. After the game we wandered back into the city centre, and were just behind a group of some 12-15 Bears as they approached, and were denied entry to the rather posh Picadilly Hotel. The doorman more or less told them to FECK off, and wasn't even happy to let them in "just to use the phone", as the hotel's phone was out of order (the days before mobiles). The group turned away, and disappeared down a side street, and returned about 10 minutes later with an up-rooted red telephone box, and launched it through the front door of the Picadilly Hotel, and ran off, whilst one of them shouted "See if THAT one works ya BASTARD !!" The rest of the trip was fairly uneventful...BTW The Rangers won 3-2 [Greig, Johnstone & Parlane (pen.)] WATP !!
  7. For what it's worth, I have just e mailed Topping re William Hill's sponsorship of the SFA... " Sir, For many years I have been a very satisfied customer in respect of Betting Shops and on -line facilities, and I would go as far to say that, in this regard, they are my products of choice. However, as a result of the Draconian action taken by The Scottish Football Association (SFA) against The Rangers Football Club, and as William Hill are one of the SFA's main sponsors, I will in future be taking my business to another supplier, and shall continue to do this until William Hill review and withdraw all sponsorship to the SFA. "
  8. Very good John, I hope it gets the airing it deserves. Have a rep !
  9. There is absolutely NO chance that these two heavily "influenced" organisations will agree to any conditions attached to Bill Miller's takeover bid. It is too good an opportunity for this mob to further stick the boot in and prevent us from making any kind of impact in the top league for many years. With all that in mind, if liquidation in one form or the other is our destiny, the we should take the Division 3 route, and fight our way back to the top with no one able to point the finger at us, and beholding to no-one ! Let us see just how they flourish in the SPL without... a.) A Sky TV deal & b.) OUR cash from ticket sales and money spent in and around their grounds on away-days !! WATP !!
  10. I am all in favour of a boycott. We cannot just sit back and take this Draconian punishment in "silent dignity". It is our lack of reaction to punishments and measures imposed in the past that has brought us to the point where the SPL think they can do what they like to us with impunity. I would say that a fully supported boycott of away games is the ONLY answer...Make THEM suffer!! We should also try to get the club on board by asking them to have the Under19's play at home, whether at Ibrox or Auchenhowie, on the same date and time that the 1st team are playing away, so that we can go and support our club on match days regardless ! WATP RTID
  11. The man IS an incompetent cunt...but that doesn't stop him from also being a FUD !!
  12. ...We're all crazy over the love of you, At games you are really perfect, When we FU*K the Glasgow Celtc, You look so sweet with the ball at your feet, Won't you give us a goal or two !!
  13. HELLO HELLO GREEN AND WHITE SHITE, HELLO HELLO GREEN AND WHITE SHITE !! Does it for me EVERY time...
  14. Eindhoven 1979, Barecelona 2007, and Manchester 2008.
  15. Still negotiating I would imagine..
  16. Both videos worth their weight in GOLD !! Thanks VERY much !!
  17. Definitely rather take the drop to Div 3, than cow-tow to Lawwell's SPL cabal. It would be the perfect opportunity for The Rangers F.C. and us the supporters to show that for all the kicks and slurs that they aim in our direction, we have the strength to re-group and rise through the SFL and re-take our place at the very top of the Scottish game. It's a time for the fans to be unyielding in their support. No matter which of these routes we choose, there will be quite a few dark days and disappointments, similar to the recent home defeats by Killie and Hearts. It is down to us to show how resolute we are, and the best way we can do that is, for those of us who have them, to continue to re-new our Season Tickets regardless, and to increase the volume of our support as much as we can... Be LOUD, be PROUD, back Ally and his team !! We ARE, and ALWAYS will be THE PEOPLE !!!
  18. Unfortunately won't be there as I'm working Nights at the moment. I'll get up early and watch it on the box, and be there with the rest of you...in spirit !! WATP
