At the moment our midfield is full of players who are more akin to playing as an attacking option and they are all like for like. We have been screaming out for a player with a bit of a physical presence and a defensive mind-set. Initially Halliday was asked to fulfil this role but it is not natural to him and his ability to sense danger and be in the right position has been shown up since we came back to the premiership. This position is anchor in midfield is a must during the close season along with a central defensive partner ship. This would allow the likes of Windass, Miller etc to play in their more familiar role. I thought Windass made some good runs today in the attacking sense.

Surely he must be one of a few that have been told that if their agent can find them a club. Then Rangers won't to difficult to deal with.

Think Forester is under contract until 2018 and the other two 2019/20 could be costly exercise if they dig there heels in and are prepared to take the money.

Thankfully he thought he was worth more money when Tav and Kiernan signed extensions.

Two best players today were Hill and Miller they played like they were still out to prove themselves as players. Our younger guys who should be bursting a gut to show there worth just don't cut it. To many are happy to go through the motions and it really irks that they don't seem to realise that right now is the pinnacle of there career and they are completely pissing it up the wall.

Really hoped to see some shoots of positivity when Pedro came to the club, the fact that compensation was paid to get him hear and give him a run of games to the end of the season made sense. Looks like it has back fired big time though.

Whatever his injury was last week I don't think he has recovered. If you compare his ability as a player to the rest of the squad them he is one of our better players.

The squad are very like for like so you can only play them one way. We are playing guys like Hyndman Toral Holt Halliday Windass Forester McKay who are all similar and if you ask them to be defensive they are a liability and give away freekick. The lad Beerman is a case in point he plays further forward for the U20s but in the first team he is playing left back.
