  1. Good luck to all former players, they had there chance at Rangers. Perhaps playing outside of the old firm and Scottish media focus will suit them. I doubt any of them will ever have the opportunity at a club like Rangers again.
  2. What if Rangers are a genuine title contender. Scottish football would implode, just imagine a team that people were lining up to take pot shots at coming back to their former selves and taking football by the scruff of the neck once more. For my sins I listened to the Clyde phone in last night and there were a few callers who couldn't wait to get the small matter of their team playing to stay in Europe out of the way to talk about their obsession and tell us we haven't improved. With the change in personnel over the summer anybody that says we haven't improved as a squad is simply deluded, have we improved enough to get it right up them .... only time will tell. Hope so.
  3. Just found a stream to watch the game after RTV letting me down again. Sounds like a nice sing song, will we ever take the higher ground.
  4. His quote for me sums up a lot of what is wrong with a lot of modern day players mind set.
  5. For me our full backs are still not up to it, watch the build up. Lee Wallace is as much at fault as any, when the ball gets played down the wing he is actually deeper than their goal scorer he then allows the attacker to run off him and by the time he senses danger the attackers about 5 yards away from him and on the run. Tav is actually up towards the half way line, Ryan Jack is trying to protect that area but the quick ball totally takes him out of the game. This comes pretty soon after Alves leaves the field I have a feeling his ability to organise the defence is going to be crucial.
  6. What a scatter gun approach to journalism written like a man ranting at a world that won't listen. Look at the comments; a reference to Rangers terrifying the SFA and Campbell Ogilvie being a past president, what is he trying to say. His reference to Lord Nimmo Smith he found fined Rangers £250000 after his enquiry yes he did. But he also said no sporting advantage was gained but lets not mention that. The whole reason for the enquiry was because there was the equivalent of a rabid mob baying for the then SPL to take action the problem is that they don't like the result. Rangers lost their appeal to HMRC, no they didn't, I think you will find that BDO sought permission to appeal, but lets not mention that. Rangers must of had extra money as a result of EBTs this for me is the whole crux of the argument would we of signed these players had it not been for EBTs. I cant recall one player signed during that time saying at the press conference it was the EBT that convinced me to sign.
  7. You can guarantee the haters will have Ebt songs. Might as well retaliate with our own.
  8. No way back, he might hang around for another month or two but ultimately. No way back.
  9. Just a sign of some positivity would be good just to give the impression that this nightmare is coming to an end. I know its early and not all the players have even kicked a ball in anger but that was miserable, this team are also at pre season and they are part time and they got there tactics spot on. We play a lot of games against teams who want to sit in but still do know how to break them down.
  10. Wonder what he's saying; get me two glasses of water so I can explain the tactics, random nature of football, transition from pathetic to shite needs to be quicker, need to win the 2nd ball,,,list goes on.
  11. Can't blame a guy for not having pace, especially when the manager is talking about getting an hour out of him then leaves him on for 90 mins. This after all a guy coming back from an 8 month injury lay of. This just another clueless move from a manager with no clue. Seriously struggling to see what the next move is. Some half decent friendly a must.
  12. Thing that annoys me is that he talks and acts like he's a superstar. When in actual fact his track record is less than average

  14. To be beaten over two games by a part time team who are also on pre season regardless of their level. Has to be the end of the manager. Players have to take the blame also but ultimately the manager has to go.
  15. If true then its a poor deal, hope there is a half decent sell on clause or an increasing payment dependant on player performance. Don't think he would of been on big money at Rangers would much rather of kept him until January to see how the new signings bed in. Would probably of got a similar fee in January. If we are paying a reported £1.3 million for Dorrans at 30 years old then Forest have got a bargain when you consider the money sloshing around down south.
  16. It didn't take a 5 _ 1 drubbing at home to know that the present squad were gash. We knew that before Pedro arrived.
  17. English version of Sebo. All commitment but a poor final product. All the best to him though he certainly wasn't the worst of Warburtons signings.
  18. You are correct in that a lot of people did say top six finish preferably top three would be acceptable. Then the season started and it was catchup from day 1. Most would probably accept 3Rd with say a 12 / 15 points deficit (which feels wrong to say that) but a thirty points plus is the hardest part to take. Warburtons experiment of young hungry players from the English lower leagues and then expect them to compete at the top level in Scotland shows that he under estimated the competition. Granted Kranjkar was unfortunate and Joey Barton.. Well least said the better on that one. Glad this season is over.
  19. So trying to follow your logic, coming third in the Championship with a player budget of about 5 million was more acceptable to coming third in the Premiership !! The original quote was that this is the most embarrassing season ever, for me it is not. As for supporting the team a long time my don't quite get the relevance but anyway my first game was 1983 Cup Winners Cup V FC Porto think we finished fourth that season. As for the board and going forward, they are by no means perfect but surely they are an improvement on the last board, yes I agree we do need something unexpected to happen perhaps even a miracle but if that doesn't happen what can we do other than support the team.
  20. Lacks desire, aggression and a will to succeed; that sentence sums up a large percentage of Warburton's signings perhaps with the exception of Garner.
  21. Apparently failed a fitness test this morning.
