  1. had the balls to go 442 in an old firm game and got his reward for that. A resounding victory. We werent wonderful in the first half as usual but mccoist earned his money at half time because whatever he said to them had the desired effect as we dominated them in the 2nd half.
  2. hes not great in the air for a big guy, i think most people can see this. Had an excellent game today and took his goal well, should have had a couple more but he got the one that counted to put us back in front. Had we not won we could slag him off for missing those chances but we won regardless so who cares how many chances we missed. We hammered our biggest rivals to move 4 points clear at the top. Cant ask for anything more than that.
  3. hardly surprising, hes a complete prick, awful player to have as club captain but i supppose he fits in well at the scum. Hes probably buggered his ankle again and will be out for a good few weeks
  4. unbelievable error from mcgregor, i cant believe we are losing at half time, the scum have done next to nothing and dont deserve to be leading imo. Not that we really do either as we havent been great but we dont deserve to be losing. I was happy to see us playing a 442 but we need to pass the ball better to make it work. We still have enough time to turn this round but time for ally to earn his money, we need to come out all guns blazing and get right into their faces in the second half
  5. i am confident we will win as long as we attack them. We would have beaten them a lot more times last year if we had attacked them instead of sitting back and letting them play. They cant cope with us attacking them. Their defence is pish, the only reason they dont concede as many goals as they should is because they spend so much time in the other half attacking. Once that defence is put under any pressure it will crumble. Playing in spain on thursday night will affect them in the 2nd half no matter what anyone says. Thats when we really need to put the pressure on them.
  6. just back from florida myself yesterday. This was the 4th time i had been but the first time i had been in september. I have been in may and june before but i will never go back then after seeing how good it was in september. I went to all the theme parks and i didnt wait that long for any of the rides. Most of the time it was less than 15mins waiting and on quite a number of rides it was nearly walk straight on. There was the odd ride that had a longer queue but i dont think i waited any longer than 30mins for a ride and that was only the odd one. Compare that to basically every ride being a 1hr+ queue in may/june. Some of the parks dont open as long in september as they do in june but as you dont wait as long for each ride it doesnt really matter as theres still enough time to get round the whole park. As for the weather we were pretty lucky, we only really had the one day in 2 weeks where it rained a lot. We had a couple of showers the other days but other than that it was dry hot and humid. It was actually drier than the last time i went which was in june and we got rain showers every afternoon we were there!
  7. if Lafferty had missed some of the chances Jelavic had over the past few weeks he would be getting absolutely slated on here. Our midfield has been poor so far this season but hes still missed a ridiculous number of chances when they have come his way. Expect more from someone who cost so much, especially as he looked so good at the end of last season.
  8. they love lennon because hes an irish catholic bigot. Also to be fair they were awful when he came in and he has turned them round. Not saying they are good but they are miles better than they were when monkeyheid was in charge. Any teams supporters would like a manager who has made a club better. Thats where ally has a problem, we have been used to success under walter so we demand that it continues.
  9. it would be good for us if the scum do get back in. 6 midweek games to take their eyes of the spl. If they cant beat a pish team like sion theres absolutelty no chance of them doing anything against atletico madrid or udinese. Even Rennes would beat them away. Celtic wouldnt have a hope in qualifying from that group. I have to say though the way celtic are behaving is absolutely pathetic. IF Sion have broken rules its up to uefa to dump them out, not celtic running gurning and sending little letters. Even if they have sent letters they should keep the mouths shut and not go running to the papers demanding they be reinstated. No dignity as usual
  10. good result for the Glens after a shocking result last weekend
  11. we can blame ally all we want but if players had taken their chances we would have won that game by a mile. We had sod all on the bench so i am not sure we could have changed things much.
  12. no thank you, good for winding up the tims but i wasnt really that impressed with him on the pitch.
  13. hes certainly had a solid start to his rangers career. I have been impressed with him and for apparently less than £1m i think hes been a very shrewd signing. Just goes to show we can get good players in without spending massive amounts of money.
  14. had a right good laugh at that. Their squad is about twice the size of ours. Injuries will never be a decent excuse for them as they have so many players to choose from. Most of them are crap though
  15. I'd far rather see Fleck starting just behind Jelavic than sticking Jelavic up front on his own with a 5man midfield. If we arent going to play him though i think we should definetly send him out on loan. Its better for his development to be playing regular football even if it is at a lower level. Look at McGregor, he had only played a handful of games for rangers, went on loan to st johnstone one year and dunfermline the next, playing over 50 games for the 2 teams, he hasnt looked back since as he became a regular and has played over 200 games for the club. He was a few years older than fleck when he went on loan as well. Fleck has a lot of potential, would hate to see it wasted.
  16. midfield was crap, at least ally could see that. However why the hell didnt he change it? I can see the reasons for taking naismith off as he likely to be sent off. However why bring on a player whos only back from injury? Why not bring on wylde and bring ortiz to the right side of midfield? Why not take a clearly struggling and unfit mcculloch off and bring fleck on. I know flecks not great but he couldnt have been any worse than mcculloch. At least make a change and make an effort. We can still win this tie. Whether we will or not depends a lot on mccoist. He needs to make changes in that midfield. If we start the next game with ortiz edu mcculloch davis naismith then we might as well give up now
  17. disgraceful yet again although to be fair with one win in over 20 european games its not that surprising that we didnt win. Always a risk throwing 2 central defenders who have only just met into a european game. As for Mccoist, well he cant help it if players miss chances, however he can make changes, he can clearly underperforming players off ( ie ortiz mcculloch etc) He can bring people like wylde or fleck on and at least try to change thing. Yet again just the one sub which is just madness.
  18. i dont know what to think, on one hand i want them to get hammered and out of europe as soon as possible so they make as little money as possible. On the other hand it would be better for us if the had a few midweek european games as well as the spl games. Actually i hope they get humped then Sion get kicked out and the scum then get back in and get a tough group and lose every single game they play. Dont care about the coefficient, we will raise it on our own. Just want the scum to lose every game they play
  19. really hope hearts do well, as for the scum i hope they get humped tonight
  20. my thoughts exactly. They would have been better getting someone in their mid 20s with a bit more experience. The guy is talented all right but to ask a 20yr old with 2 seasons of first team football under his belt to try to take over from a keeper of van der sars ability is asking a bit much of anyone not matter how good they are.
  21. i have been impressed with him, was fuming we paid so much for someone with only a year left on their deal but looks like it will be a good investment
  22. thought he was solid, looks comfortable with the ball as well, some good passing out from defence. Looks to be a decent signing.
  23. i dont think we were that great to be honest. We dominated possession and certainly passed the ball a lot better which is a big positive. However we created very little chances which is disappointing considering the amount of possession we had. No point passing the ball about in midfield, we need to get the ball into the box more and create more chances. Still inverness is always a tough place to come to and at least we didnt get beaten 3-2
  24. tansey's challenge was far worse than edu's. Inconsistant refereeing as usual. Edus first yellow card was a joke as well. Thought edu had a decent enough game. Definetly a better player without mcculloch in there as he had shown at the end of last season. hopefully we never see the 2 of them in the same team again.
