I think a lot of the criticism comes from the fact we're all used to seeing a tireless worker in Candeias playing that position last season and Ojo, for the most part, has long spells in the game when he's not involved. It'll take time, but i think once him and Tav get used to playing together on that side, he'll be more influential in the game.

Goldson and Katic maybe got caught a bit flat footed, but i think we were just done with a really good pass tbh, not much they could've done. Flanagan could've done more and tracked Horgan's run though, imo.

I wouldn't have a problem with any of our defenders stepping in due to injuries or suspensions tbh. I think all 4 will play a big part this season.

As much as i like big Katic and love how fearless he is and good in the air, he's still making the odd mistake in games, that have went unpunished so far, but could be costly. He has a tendency to rush in imo, probably due to inexperience, but Goldson is the more composed and better all rounder at the moment for me.

Started the season well. He's been solid at the back and calm on the ball and his distribution has been really good, the pass when he played in Defoe was unbelievable. He has the odd moment when he switches off, like most defenders, but he doesn't deserve a lot of the criticism he gets on here imo.

Durrant is a brutal commentator.

He may well be eventually, but from what he's shown so far, he's not.

Jones looks like he wants to succeed and he's playing well so far tbh.

He done a job tbh, but as i said in another thread, to some, his actual ability get's overlooked because he likes a tackle imo. His positional sense is brutal, he's got no pace and he looks awkward on the ball, partly because he's right footed and playing on the left but mostly down to the fact he isn't a good footballer. None of our left backs are good enough and it's an area that teams will exploit this season.

Agree mate. Helander will play alongside Goldson eventually imo and that'll be harsh as fuck on Katic tbh. Edmundson looks a player as well.

He'll be playing for Partick Thistle within 4 years.

Not surprised by his performance tonight or Gerrard starting him tbh, an open, European game suits his pace. He was brilliant tonight. I do still think we need Kent tbh, he has the pace, skill and trickery, so will be much more effective against the packed defenses, but Jones will still play a huge part this season.
