  1. I didn't mean we should set our sights lower. By going out to win every game, we'd be aiming to win everything. So many of Rangers' wins in the last few seasons have come from our absolute refusal to accept a loss or a draw. It's a great tradition and one we shouldn't lose. In other words, we'd still be aiming to win the league and cups. Set our sights high, no excuses and no giving up.
  2. They should be approaching every single fixture with the intention of going out to win, same attitude as every other club should have. Regarding youth, I doubt we'll have much choice there.
  3. Rangers Lotto, I assume that's the one we've just taken to court for not passing on money to us?
  4. that's my favourite kind of combustion!
  5. Going through against sporting lisbon was good, doesn't count as a win technically but still a good result.
  6. I'll defer my wages for a while if that helps? But i'll need them back at the end of the season...
  7. What exactly did Ticketus do wrong? They bought future tickets, as they do with other clubs. Whyte was the one in the wrong, for raising money this way, but Ticketus just did what they're supposed to do. Saying that, I don't really want them involved in the takeover, we can do a lot more for them than they can for us.
  8. Leggat could probably find 'dark forces' in a ham sandwich if he tried. I'm sure he's probably broken a few good stories in his time, but when the main substance of your blog becomes speculation, it stops being worth reading.
  9. Agreed, it seems to have been a massive mistake for him. Not only has the rangers takeover went badly for him, but the media have ended up exposing his actions in other companies, effectively ruining his reputation. I still worry he has something else up his sleeve, but it looks like it's just been a massive miscalculation for him.
  10. Craig Whyte loves using lawyers and loopholes, rather than running businesses properly. I expect he'll try his hardest to keep control of the club, maybe trying to appeal in court. Needless to say, I'm optimistic he'll fail.
  11. Brian Kennedy's already ruled out working with anyone else, think everyone'll have their own ideas about how best to run the club.
  12. I hope so, it sounds like there are real Rangers supporters out there with plans for the club, which is ideal. My only criticism is of the tabloids' coverage, which is too often a "we told you so" attitude instead of a "here are the facts" one.
  13. Haha, well done Sunsport. Out of 40 potential bidders, 2 happened to be from the US, the same continent you mentioned. Great investigative journalism as usual. In all seriousness, I'm glad we're attracting so much interest, odd since we waited so long for the last takeover, but i'm in an optimistic mood again.
  14. The possibility of going down divisions has apparently been ruled out completely. We either stay in the SPL or the board votes against us staying in. Which they wouldn't be stupid enough to do, surely.
  15. I hate to use the cliche 'rollercoaster of emotion'...so i won't. But I'm beginning to think I'm bipolar with the number of ups and downs these headlines are giving me.
  16. None of us know all the facts, so all votes are pointless. Saying that, I still voted 'no' But more out of optimism than anything else.
  17. We're British - so let's move to the English league? Doesn't make much sense to me. There's no reason to refer to Scotland as a "horrible wee country", just because you're annoyed at the current state of Scottish football. We'll be back on top soon enough, just need to endure it for now.
  18. Great interview. 800k for Boca? Still well worth it, but shows we shouldn't pay too much attention to the tabloids about transfer values. Or anything else.
  19. JT also decently praised the players and Ally for the gesture of allowing their salaries to be slashed, after Chick had dismissed it as "they'll still be living comfortably enough". Although I'm sure Traynor'll say something soon to make me regret complementing him, ha.
  20. Having one rich owner isn't necessarily a bad thing. We've had our fingers burnt relying on Murray's money, but there are clubs out there thriving with one owner. Saying that, I would prefer fans to have more of a say too. In other words, I'm not fussed, as long as it's something other than what we have now
  21. The Scotsman/Scotland on Sunday's arguably given the best coverage of everything happening at Rangers recently. Seems like they're the only group that don't get too involved in the personal stuff.
  22. Definitely been the strangest times. I remember being astonished a few weeks ago when Ally pretty much said that results on the pitch were just a bonus, the real important results would be made off it. Very odd situation to be in, but he was right.
  23. It's a sensible question, but it might not even be an issue if/when administrators take control. Motherwell had 19 player contracts cancelled when they went into administration, I wonder how many we might have to lose.
  24. He was terrible today, kept wanting to talk about the goals even 20 minutes after they'd went in, and made mistakes with referee decisions. I didn't mind him before this but he showed today he's not a good pundit/co-commentator.
