  1. There's been this thing happening in Greece, it's had a great effect on the markets...
  2. What I still fail to grasp about them is why being set up by an Irish guy means that at every opportunity you must glorify terrorists who have nothing to do with the setting up of the club. What a sad existence that the only thing important to you is where your grandparents were from and not where you yourself are going and where you lie your own head. I also can't grasp the defence of their fans when every one of them has at least heard songs with the lyrics "soon there will be no protestants at all" which doesn't sound like a hate song at all... Celtic have been claiming to be whiter than white for years, claiming to have the best fans in the world at the same time as you urge them to stop singing bile is such a brass neck move that I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing. They've not been in Europe long enough to be probed in years, this was inevitable at some stage and I commend the copper that reported them whilst the people from UEFA and FARE pretended they could not hear a thing. This is fairness and equality for the first time in years, we've watched their bile go ignored or hidden under some political blanket, and now they've brought the eyes and ears of decent people upon them. The one and only complaint they can have, much the same as us is that they are far from the only guilty club, too big to be ignored though now but too small to be ignored also (see Barcelone and Real Madrid for big clubs who get away with murder and the Poles whose games are entirely about race hate for teams who are too small for a focus) but undoubtedly it is there petty campaign to get Rangers into trouble that has meant people are watching and saying, "hold on, why are these cretins getting away with this?" I say punish them to the full extent that UEFA can but I wont be holding my breath, in the same way the the SPL deem air kicks from our players as violent conduct but actual assaults in our players as fine, I wouldn't put it past UEFA to say there is no case to answer.
  3. 10k though? were you earning 50 grand a month?
  4. I remember on the TV show Blue heaven there was a wee ginger kid that got released by Rangers and it was because he was too small, the worst thing was that there was no shame in that attitude, didn't matter what talent he had, he was just too small so we need to release him.
  5. A statement? "I think the pope is a..." would be an opinion.
  6. Can see it now if they lose "It was a sectarian establishment sun out to get us" Wish they would shut up about the sun though.
  7. An interesting list, be better if it was in date order so you'd know if we missed out on players as youths or at the end of their careers. The 2 Brazilians at the start sound interesting, once compared to Roberto Carlos, googling them it seems they never went on to play anywhere else. Interesting to see we rejected Mauro Esposito as a youth also. I'm just slowly going through the list, I imagine there'll be a few surprises there.
  8. Barazite isn't doing too bad in Austria, the point though isn't what they've went on to do, it's that at the time especially in the case of Welcome and Blumstein they were reported as doing very well on trial whilst Kerkar was on trial for 3 months and we heard very little other than that he kept playing bounce matches at left back, so it seems strange that off the bunch of players we've had on trial he's the one that was signed, although as I said before he's probably only being kept just now as the absolute last option, if the first team are all struck down with flu we'll give this crap footballer a go just so we can put out a team. Hindsight is great but I definitely believe players development can change vastly depending on what team they join.
  9. I heard he was caught shagging <insert name of one of Rangers management team/coaching staff>'s daughter and that's why he can't get near the team. I didn't really but that's usually the nonsense people claim when a player isn't getting a game. The reality is we had a small first team squad and he's been kept as one of the last resort players, cover for the cover. The only strange thing about him is that as a trialist he didn't perform particularly well, yet we signed him anyway whereas off the top if my head, Blumstein, Welcome, Murphy, Barazite all apparently done well on trial but didn't get offered anything.
  10. There'd need to be a balance between saving thr club and just cleaning up someone's mess and increasing the value of another businessman's financial interest. Our richest fan didn't get there by throwing away their money or giving it away to others who apparently have plenty of their own money. In any event this is not yet the hour of need, all we have right is a hypothetical bill, who is going to gift money to Rangers before they actually owe a penny. Maybe then someone will appear. The only difference between us and a company like Woolworths is th emotional attachment, so maybe, just maybe of we need help then help will come, whete it's everyone giving what they can as a fan or Whyte having to offer some incentive to business men ( i'm sure he talked about exploring ways of raising capital when he bought the gers)
  11. "That's just won us the league so it has" is what I thought at that very moment as every blood vessel in my brain exploded, had a sore head for about a week. IIRC he scored earlier in the game and it was ruled out, for a foul maybe.
  12. Bbc would limely have to pay costs but there will be a shortfall, it's usually about 60-70% that the losing party ends up paying.
  13. Portsmouth won but it doesn't affect us a it's an entirely different issue to do with players image rights being proportionally paid outwith the uk. Initially the media thought that's what our case was about but it's not
  14. Having studied law for 5 years i'd disagree, it's no going to decide the cases but it's a test case to see whether it's viable to pursue the others. Recent things that come to mind would be credit and bank charges and the payment protection cases.
  15. A conplaint to companies house from Rangers would see the name having to be changed so if it's a speculative move to sell them then it's an ill informed one. Secondly the company name and trading name are 2 separate things so we could be registered as craig whyte's mad fitbaw company ltd but still trade and play under the name Rangers football club. It costs bugger all to set up a company so i supect the motive is either publicity or wind up
  16. Same site as every week, add it to your favourites, no need for people to ask every game.
  17. It's not too late, no, but whether either party would accept a deal is another issue.
  18. Because half the folk suggesting this clearly don't know a thing about administration and think it means your debt just gets wiped off.
  19. That's the point... it's a precaution to ensure that if he has a succesful claim against Rangers then there is cash that can be paid to him. Two scenarios where this happens is where there's a real risk or prospect of the company not having the money to pay at a later date or where there's a belief that the party will squander money and assets to ensure there is nothing left to pay (as far as I know no-one's suggested this with Rangers) SO er basically they're getting away with it because it's a legitimate mechanism for protecting a potential payout where there is some risk that if they don't ring fence it then there may not be money there at a later date if and when the court rule in favour of the pursuer.
  20. Aye it probably is jsut because people compare it to the old ones but to be honest the game felt to me like I could ahve completed it by jsut running about pressing X, the game does everything for you if you want.
  21. I like the guy so don't want to be overly harsh but being clean for 7 months and saying you've been clean for 7 months are two different things, hope everything turns round for him though, he's needed help for years.
  22. They're split in to two clear camps. The "It's all Lennon's fault, Lennon must go" camp and the "It's all Kayal and Hooper's fault, Kayal and Hooper must go" camp which is hilarious as these two are the best players in the world, along with izaguirre and Man united want them all but now they're shite and must go. Surprisingly very few of them have changed their mind as a result of the 3 goals (although they are celebrating the draw) thought as a fickle bunch Lennon would be the best manager ever again. Funnist one from the Lennon's the best crew was that his half time team talk injected optimism and inspired the team to fight back. Bit of a delayed reaction if so.
  23. Am I imagining it or do your stats follow through each game mode. Say I have a 72 rated pro playing as a pro, then start a new game as a manager and the pro is in my squad, I then do enough stuff in that game that his rating increases to 75, he's now permanently a 75, at least in the main edit pro area (maybe not in the previous saved game though) I seem to remember that happening in Fifa 10 aswell, and that I ended up editing my player to be a defender because that's what I wanted to play as but as he'd already earned stats as a striker every team I played him in the manager would move him to CF even though his position was now a defender.
