We shouldn't be turning over SPL teams, but we should be at the very least competing. We did not compete today, and we barely compete at 3rd division level. So many young managers around at the moment that seem to want to play the ball on the deck, bring in promising young talent and let them express themselves. ... our team look afraid to do anything out of the ordinary. (or incapable).

If we have spl standard players why the hell shouldn't we be matching up to them? What was the point of buying them otherwise!

The buck stops with McCoist. He has employed sub standard players and doesn't seem to have the capability to arrange them tactically. I am well aware that Ally has been through hell keeping Rangers together, but that should never excuse his lack of ability in the dugout. we should be building a ball playing young team who know how to knock the ball around ... Instead we have players who can't pass a ball 5 yards. Players that USED To be able to pass it that far. What the hell happens at training?

We currently have in our hands the opportunity to blood good young players who can be the mainstay of the club for many, many years. We also have in our hands (with the calibre of players we have - SPL quality and Scottish youth internationalists) to create a better brand of flowing football that plays from the back and uses a pass/move mentality. It seems that we aren't taking our chance. We have this win at all cost brand of football which is not working when it matters. We should be ripping up the playbook and training methodologies and taking this chance to get back to the top stronger. Ally has a chance to leave a legacy behind him and he isn't taking his shot. Look at Kenny Shiels as a prime example (i know some guys have used him as an example here before). He has got his team playing a nice brand of passing football, playing from the back and they are starting to see the benefit after a tough start. I would rather see us take a chance to improve and lose some points in the process, rather than play ugly and still lose the same points. I sometimes feel that this win at all costs football makes the players feel they can't be trusted to play tight football, or request a ball in a small space for fear of being mugged.

Don't drop Black or McLeod ... Move Lewis to the right and have Hutton in the middle. The young Greek lad should be a right back ... His passing is nowhere near crisp and accurate enough to play out wide.

I agree with the above poster - McCulloch is a shoe in for midfield to stop it being too inexperienced. This doesn't necessarily fill me with the dread it normally would because i think it might free up the young lads to be a bit more adventurous going forward ... we shall see soon enough!
