  1. Law is a very talented person - It isn't easy to disappear for 90 minutes at a time!!!! When I watched him lazily fail to close down the hivs fullback at the first goal then turn his back on the ball - FFS When I played junior the boss would have sent us to the ladies toilet for a sit-down pish if we had chickened out! Skill on it's own only works occasionally - Like Law. Allied to hard work and a touch of bravery it works most of the time. Bye bye Law. This will open the door for a kid to come in, there may be another BF in the younger group. It may be that we'll have some Newcastle loans coming up who will be cheaper than Law. Wonder what Law will tell Jackson for his "exclusive" on Monday.
  2. Great post D'Art. You are correct that we are the "silent" majority but there comes a time when we have to stand up and be counted - The Referendum is a good example when the "yes" gang were the ones making all the noise - but still lost. Strength in unity - The key thing is "how do we achieve it?" A strong knowledgeable manager giving us good to watch football and a bit of heart would be a great start. We know it's not Ally and it doesn't look like it will be Kenny, so the board need to act quickly or the team from Saturday will not even be in the playoffs.
  3. Quotes the pay-offs of Wallace, Stockbridge and Mather but doesn't mention his pal Ally's £3/4 of a million - Strange.
  4. Here's another thought - What if Jig appointed Ally as his assistant?
  5. I would agree with most of the post I am not a fan of Hutton but at least he would help to close the door in the area in front of our back four. The space that QOS had there was unbelievable. Jeez, I'm a pensioner but with that amount of time and room even I could punch a hole in the middle of our defence. Black and Law have failed miserably to carry out the first job of the holding MF.
  6. Didn't take Llambias long to realise what was (or wasn't) happening within the youth set-up. Why did nobody see it earlier? Or did they and it was jobs for the boys - Again. What is Sinclair's salary?
  7. Maybe MA is unsure of the % of fans feelings. He will surely want to look after his investment so he needs to be sure that sacking McCoist is the wise thing to do. He doesn't lack balls as he showed when he sacked Shearer so he will fire McCoist if he is sure its right (for the Club and MA) I have to say that I am strugglng with some of the bad-mouthing of McCoist. I want him gone as much as the next person but I can't condone some of the comments.
  8. Position needs to be advertised. Personally I would love Souness as D of F and GVB as manager. Experience, winning mentality, strength of character (take no shit) and football knowledge.
  9. Our players should be TOLD - Do not talk to the press or TV without a "clever" person being in attendance. They continually leave themselves open to ridicule. These press leeches are not to be trusted but they are clever - We are keeping them in a job with our naivety.
  10. EB is correct. McGregor (who is a CB) was being done by their winger. Our "management team" should have been well aware of that if they were doing their job, and not exposed McGregor. The CB pairing should have been left as is.
  11. Wouldn't it be a class thing to do if Jig and a few others put the hat round for these unfortunate people at this time of year? It would make a huge difference to them.
  12. If we play well and win, does that mean that the players are, dare I say it, cheating us with the likes of Alloa, Hertz and Hivs? Surely pulling on that jersey should be enough to ensure 100% in EVERY game.
  13. GB Being an older person myself (confused), I'm not sure whether to donate to RM or ELF.
  14. Depends on the result on 22nd November. A negative result should mean he goes at 5pm on that day. A positive result should mean he gets till 5.30 on that day.
  15. Bit too close to the truth I'm afraid Bombay. Wish you were 100 miles out. Thanks for cheering me up.
  16. Aird tells us that "Ally didn't read the riot act at half-time" when we were 3-0 down. In the same paper McInnes is "raging" at his sheep when they get a draw against SPL opposition. Does that tell a story? Our real managers would have ripped the team apart at the interval. In management there's a time for a laugh, a time for a cuddle, and a time for a kick up the arse. Monday was a time for a kick up the arse if ever there was one !! The team have got into a "who gives a shit, we'll get paid anyway" mentality. I can guess where that mentality comes from. If our management team did give a shit they would walk - Now.
  17. I fucking don't believe it. Our Club is going bust, our manager is struggling big-time, the support is split, the board are split and we have no investors, but KL is losing sleep over where a post is situated !!!!!!! JEEZ !!!! No fucking wonder I drink so much. And KL, FYI, the subway doesn't run from Aberdeen.
  18. We use this hotel regularly. It isn't an issue if you only stay a few miles away but it is if you travel a longer distance. It's okay to say "use another hotel" but how many are there within walking distance of Ibrox? This has been posted for the benefit of Rangers fans so should be on here.
  19. Dalton makes the point that he doesn't fully trust anyone with less than 200 posts. Is it better to post 2000 pieces of shite or 199 pieces of thought-out views?
  20. Gents, The wording is "20/1 that the Ibrox outfit wrap up promotion without tasting a single defeat" not "Go though the season undefeated" So I guess we could win the league then lose a couple of games and the bet Is still good.
  21. We need a strong manager with regard to the players and the board. Someone who knows the game and is not afraid to push forward his ideas. Who has been steeped in the positive aspects of the game. A winner. A guy who would not accept yesterday. Gary Neville.
  22. We'll be okay once Law, Black, Smith, Foster, Daly or Aird come on. Oh wait. We are clueless God help us next week and next season.
  23. Being an older person I have lots of memories. The most memorable has to be my first trip abroad, cup winners cup final in '67 in Nuremburg. 18 years old, my mate and I saw an advert in the paper with tickets for the game. We had to meet a guy called Alex Patterson in the Mermaid Bar in Bridgeton - That was an experience for a start for two young innocent boys. We left Bridgeton Cross on a bus to go to Germany and the Evening Times people were there taking photos. We got as far as Penrith and the whole bus was arrested by the local plod - We had stopped at a hotel and some of the guys had lifted some glasses. The driver was told to follow the patrol car to the station. Of course by the time we got to the station all the glasses had mysteriously disappeared and plod were amazed when they searched the bus. We boarded the ferry at Dover for Zeebrugge On the ferry were three Dutch guys who were very friendly and singing all the songs with us. They were being bought drinks but when we were just going in to Zeebrugge one of them shouted "F*** Glasgow Rangers" All hell broke loose and one of our group tried his best to squeeze the guy through a porthole! Story goes that the three Dutchmen were the ref and two linesman. They had seemingly been at Wembley and were on their way to Nuremburg for our game - Never found out if that was true or not. When we arrived In Belgium the local bobbies boarded our bus and told us we were being escorted out of the country! So we didn't see much of Belgium. We spent a happy couple of days in Germany with too many stories for this forum. When we arrived at the ground the first thing we saw was one of the guys from our bus being lifted. He had been playing the "spoons" all week and as he was being carried away he was still playing them. The game was shite and we were shite. We lost 1-0 in extra time.
