  1. You might be wrong with this one. Having us not in it gives the rest of Scotland a chance or better chance at winning it. You'd guess there to be a lot of interest from fans and spectators, as it would be a new experience with our absence.
  2. That has a flip side mate, if they've written it off, they may see this as a way to shaft us as revenge. Doubt it, but Ticketus must be ragin after whyte shafted them. HRMC will need to take anything as they represent the public (the non Rangers minded public that is).
  3. Are we able to sign up players that are out of contract in the summer? I'm aware we lost the appeal for transfer embargo, but J Brown told the record that we still have players world wide wanting to sign! He mentioned that Super has singled out Ian Black who is a free in the summer as a signing. Just shows that even amid the chaos, players all over the world still want to sign for us! Promising.
  4. Agreed mate. You have to laugh sometimes, even through THIS. "Go with youth... give the young players a chance... Gattuso, a blind 35 year old... feck the youth, give him their chance!"
  5. Some people have a very strange view on how businesses operate! Especially in regards to accounts and wage budgets. Why would Celtic need to reduce wages just because we are? Are their profits or daily expenses directly influenced by Rangers paying their players less money? Does this somehow reduce the revenue they'll get from Old Firms? Peter Lawell 'spends the bare minumum"? Have you seen the size of their squad. Juarez, Rasmussen, Lustig, Wilson, Murphy etc all hardly played a game, all cost millions. Really does sound like someone who spends the bare minimum, you're right!
  6. I'd love that mate, but I can't see it. I think the temptation to leave at this point will be too great and you couldn't blame them, and the money we could get for both too good to turn down. I hope I'm wrong as they ARE the best players in the team by far. Also the league.
  7. nonsense. You honestly can say "you expect the majority of the squad want to stay"., The majority aren't die hards like Mculloch and Naismith, they are in it for the money and to make as much as they can in their short career. Every player loves playing for the badge all over the world, but hit them with what our sqaud has went through, with the uncertainties that hang over them, with the possibilty of no European football (so just playing against diddy SPL teams possibly for 3 seasons), possible wage cuts, a depleted sqaud..... and you think the 'majority want to stay'. I admire you're never say die attitude, but you are WAY OFF imo.
  8. I agree we could be more optimistic, but I aslo think you could be more realistic. We will go next season without being able to buy players, and if the CVA isn't accepted, then we could facew 3 years without players. Green could be forced to start building this business from the bottom up. We're more than likely have lost a lot of faith from major creditors, and will have to do some work to convince other future creditors to work with us again. The damage done by Murray and White could be catastrophic in the business world. We could lose a host of players this summer, and I really don't think Davis, Lafferty, Naismith, McGregor and others will be here next year. I suppose from any potential signings we could build anew, but only from this money. That is where Green will be talking about "specualte to accumulate". If you think he'll spend a penny of his own money in the first couple of years on players, you are mistaken. To expect us too is madness. I do think we'll come 2nd, but I don't expect to see anyewhere near the likes of Davis, Bedoya again in the next 5 years.
  9. Airdriebluenose seems to have read this comment (going by the threads timeline) and then finally GOT IT! He doesn't come back after this on the 1st page so must see that you are correct. Nice one for getting it through.
  10. What interest is it to them to drag this on? Why would they want to create more problems for us? They probably know they're gonna get next to fuck all IF we get hit with an enormous bill, and the chances of us paying anything gets worse as time goes by, so it is in their interests to get it sorted asap... I'm guessing Whyte (and his lawyers) is holding things up as he tries to find ways to cover up his messy tracks. I wonder if he fears criminal prosecution?
  11. That was some quality movement from Super to get the header... worthy of any modern day footballer. I heard it was his first touch too? Off to YT to watch a compilation of the great man!
  12. Hats off to THAT crowd... that's simply out of this world for a friendly match to get that sort of turnout... stunning actualy.
  13. IF we are to believe this article, then basically Bain has fucked us for being a 'greedy bastard' as mentioned above. Go to CH4 news online if you want to watch it. He's meant to be on paper as requesting for papers to be shredded (which they claim may or may not have been legal) and makes remarks like, "any pay rise I should get should be paid through the trust obviously as a discretionary bonus as it cannot be contractual" and "my increase was to be non contractual put through as a discretionary bonus as I do with players and most recently John Greig". Could be a bag of pish as they interview a guy who knows about EBTs who warned them how to use them legally, but they apparantely ignored him.... BUT the guy is an adult film distributor and makes CW look trustworthy!!!(i kid you not).
  14. In all fairness concerning the Goodwillie deal, they were getting a shit load more money down south than Whyte's kiddie on bids, so trying to talk him into not staying in Glasgow was something that made sense to them as a club that needs to maximise deals like that for their long term survival. The only thing i don't like about this, is that more fans seem to be happier that we didn't pay DU than giving vredit to the fans who stumped up £22,000 to Dunfermline! i can see both sides though, DU could have been more charitable at the time knowing what we were going through.
  15. 16 teams would be better for the game imo. Yorkston still a fanny tho
  16. Been a wee while since I watched Prisoner Cell Block H
  17. "the people, three or four of them, who have told him this" Another rubbish rumour
  18. Is this the same shite programme that said we were all a bunch of dour faced fascists? Total cunt.
  19. Strong-arming potential bidders in this way is very poor on the part of the administrators. ANYONE who is making a bid MUST get their finances spot on from the very beggining, with a detailed plan of action covering short and long term goals to help the club maintain a new healthier bank balance. Why would the adminitrators try force murray into bidding prematurely? If the player's wage cuts has given us more time, then why be so hasty and come out with this statement? Do they not belive murray's bid is viable or do they want a different party than murray? (who played a part in the club's mis-management after all). They have a duty to make sure the club is passed onto someone "fit and proper" just like the SPL does. If they have doubts over murray then maybe they are trying to get that opinion out there
  20. You have to laugh at some of the so called supporters who turned on fellow fans because they spoke up against whyte
  21. I heard that the illuminati have aliens kept hidden deep under Glynhill Hotel in a labyrinth of caves and everyone knows that peter lawell is the head man of the immuminati!!!
  22. I think it's pretty clever involving Ticketus in a takeover deal, thus neutralising their debt in a roundabout sort of way in a silent partner type role. End of the day, that debt wasn't going anywhere fast, so any deal that allows us to manage that debt better is surely a good thing for Rangers FC. Although if CW could somehow be lumbered with it, then it would be a lovely leaving gift from us to him for all the great work he's done these last 9-10 months.
  23. If Pritchards did have the Arsenal share money, to somehow falsely inflate their books (or maybe not even "falsely"), surely this is illegal? Or as chairman can he place our money wherever he wants?
  24. Fuck, sorry mate. Was travelling back fae London and got the paper at station. Carry on boys, never mind me!
