Somewhat depressing that responses to the accounts still fall along 'party lines'. Alongside all of the other amateur Finance Directors on here, I take something of an inexpert view on it.
Overall the major loss is roughly in line with expectations pre-Newco around the amount of funding that would be required for a startup. We do have issues around the TUPE transfers of a number of staff (playing and non-playing) who fit outside of our wage structure. We also have a substantial overhead on general staff required to run a business of our scale which will be a drain until we return to maximises domestic revenues.
The facts are that removing non-recurring costs still leaves us with a loss situation, this gap should be the focus: what commercial increases do we expect in this year; and what cost reductions do we expect. Therefore the key questions for the AGM should be on the forward business plan over the next few years and any additional funding requirements.
Also, for any dissenting groups, the question should be on their alternative plans, nothing else.
In general, without studying in depth, I am relatively comfortable with this overall position, but happy and keen to continue observing closely.

I probably wouldn't change the team from yesterday, unless we have injuries.

Wish everyone could just chill out on this thread. There is not only one way to be a Rangers fan. Some who are like me don't particularly go in for the religious/political side of things, but I don't object to people wanting to undertake legal acts.
Equally worth accepting that just because I hold that opinion, it doesn't make me less of a Rangers fan.

Firstly, religious denominational majority is debatable, the churches are hardly packed out. Secondly, Protestant does not equal orange.

If we applied that to Scotland, who knows what would happen. Always worth judging an individual on their own merits.

And presuming that he doesn't? If you are going to generalise about people from a specific country, then you really can't be surprised at the label being used against you.

When will everyone understand we should only be signing free transfer, lower league, young, talented players who are guaranteed to be stars...it's not difficult is it?

Ah, good, I was hoping you would clarify.
I am certainly going to struggle then, I'm not working class, and not even remotely religious, although certainly believe in the Union (although that would depend if you mean Unionism in the Scotland in Britain sense, or in the Northern Ireland sense).
I am grateful that we have you here to tell us why we should support our club, and I am happy to know that if I don't share your views I am clearly less of a supporter than you are. Although I would point out your earlier comments about very few people actually being religious these days, which still confuses me a little.
I hope those who believe in the heritage aren't just glory hunters?
By the way, blue is indeed a lovely colour.

So, you don't like the Arsenal example, therefore don't consider it, or respond to it, but we should listen to YOUR example?

I remember when I went to watch the famous Light Blue jerseys with McEwan's on the front, and it didn't mean the same as when it was CR Smith at all, and now it's Tennent's, it's like they have sold my childhood.

My biggest concern here is the ongoing self-policing. As you can see from a number of posts on here (and I am sure around the stadium and buses), there is going to be a strong element pushing for the old lyrics.
I hope this committee takes on some responsibilities for how to deal with these people in the event of transgressions.
For example, if we committed to shopping those people to the club or police, then they would be much more supportive BUT that is clearly going to be a hugely difficult step for most people to take. (including me)

Of course someone could probably quite easily point out that anyone should feel free to hate whatever and whomever they like, but that it does not belong at Ibrox, and is nothing to do with Rangers; that the club has made it clear that they don't want to hear it; and that those who respect the club should respect the club's wishes.
